Atl. Housewife's Fiance Killed in Strip Club Fight


The fiance of a cast member on the TV show "Real Housewives of Atlanta" was killed after a fight at a Northwest Atlanta strip club, Atlanta police said.
Ashley "A.J." Jewell, who was engaged to Kandi Burruss, died at Piedmont Hospital following a brawl at The Body Tap Club located at 1271 Marietta Blvd.
"He got into a fist fight," Atlanta Police Liet. Keith Meadows told WSB Radio. "At some point in that altercation he sustained a serious blow to the head."
Liet. Meadows said the two men got into a verbal argument before the fight. Investigators did not know have an exact motive. It happened in the strip club's parking lot around 10 p.m. Friday
"We have developed a person of interest in this case," Liet. Meadows said. "We are in the process of questioning that person."
Burruss is an award-winning singer-songwriter and a former member of the '90s R&B group Xscape. She appears on the TV show, which airs on the Bravo network.
