'Jersey Shore' season 2, episode 3

Oh what tangled webs the Jersey Shore kids weave. This one's slapping that one, that one's smooshing this one, and Snooki can't get no respect. She's the Rodney Dangerfield of reality TV!

Last week, we left off with Angelina ruining Pauly D.'s fun down in Miami. Tonight, we picked up right where we left off--with her slapping him in the face.

All the commotion roused JWOWW, who wandered outside to investigate. When Mike told her that Angelina slapped Pauly three times, Angelina looked incredulous and denied laying a hand on him. "Um sthandinggg herrr bymyself," she slurred, drunkenly teetering in her high heels.

JWOWW was surprisingly calm about the whole ordeal and simply ushered Pauly inside, telling Angelina they'd talk about it in the morning. I thought for sure she'd take the opportunity to practice her combos on Angelina's throat. Why is JWOWW being so boring?

The next day, JW, Vinny and Ronnie had their first day of work at the gelato shop. They had to wear matching black t-shirts that "suffocated" JW's "girls." Girls = comically ginormous breasts. While everyone else was already over it, Vinny enjoyed his time on the clock, brushing up on his high school Italian with shop owner Enzo and building the perfect hoagie.

When Angelina finally woke up, she couldn't understand why everyone seemed so mad at her. Finally, Mike told her that she was "taking mad sh-t" and physically assaulted Pauly. She went to Pauly to apologize.

"I was like, really really really drunk, because I'm not comfortable here," she said. Pauly accepted her apology, but said he wouldn't be hanging out with her anymore because "your fun conflicts with our fun." This bummed Angelina out.

"I didn't know being drunk and people making mistakes was that bad," she said. I can see how Angelina felt misguided here, seeing as being drunk and making mistakes is the basic premise of the show she stars on, but she made the wrong kind of mistake. If she had mistakenly peed in a closet instead, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

So, Vinny has hair; "thick Sicilian hair," and he hadn't had it cut since he'd migrated to Miami and needed a good tape up and fade ASAP. But he had to be careful! Because his hair is his calling card. Not any old barber can cut it. THIS WAS SERIOUS. But, Vinny explained, "if someone can cut a black person's hair, they can usually cut my hair." So he and Ronnie found a spot and nervously went under the clippers. Then...hallelujah! (Literally, MTV dubbed "Hallelujah" in the background.) Their heads looked as dopey as ever.

Back at the house, Mike brought the group together, minus Angelina, to talk about how she's the outcast. Mike wanted JWOWW and Snooki to bond with Angelina and make her feel more comfortable in the house. The ladies were opposed, unless Angelina "manned up" about spreading rumors about them back home.

To hit the clubs that night, Snooki was rocking "the old Snook Look," which meant she was wearing some sort of animal print and sporting the poof. Vinny thought she looked hot and told her as much. "You tryin' smoosh right now?" Snooki asked him flirtatiously.

At the bar, Vinny continued to gawk at his female roommates. "Jennie's t-ts defy gravity...Albert Einstein should come back and rewrite his laws of physics and rework them around Jennie's t-ts," he said. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa. Someone on Jersey Shore knows who Albert Einstein is?

Everyone was dancing and having a good time, except for Angelina who was sulking in the corner. Finally, Snooki pulled her aside and explained that she understood what Angelina was going through, because she too had been an outcast in the first season after she got wasted and fell down a couple of measly stairs and couldn't figure out to use that danged duck phone. Snooki told Angelina to just admit her mistakes so they could all move on. So she did. Angelina admitted to talking "mad sh-t" about Snooki and JWOWW. "Whatever you heard I said," she told them, "I probably said it." The truth has set Angelina free. Hallelujah!

With that drama sorted out, it was about time that Ronnie and Sammi had another fight. Earlier in the episode, it seemed like Ronnie was coming around to the idea of "working on things" with his ex. But then he got "face-wasted" at the clurb and started yelling at Sammi. "You're a f--king b--ch, go home! Go!"

So she went, and he stayed and got all grindy on some trashy Miami tail and Snooki saw it all go down. She confronted Ronnie about it, and Ronnie responded by pushing her. But nobody pushes Snooks! The other guys jumped on Ron right away and pulled him out of the club to bring him home.

Back home, Ronnie stumbled around before getting into bed with Sammi and lovingly whispering in her ear, "Can I smoosh you, please?"

Snooki was also drunk and wanted to call her boyfriend. Vinny was lying on the bean bag by the phone, so she just plunked down on top of him and dialed. We learned from Emilio on the other end of the line that was 6 o'clock in the morning. Snooki had the hiccups so she didn't say much, and ended up knocking over the table with the phone and a lamp and other miscellaneous items on it. This woke up Vinny, also drunk, who helped her pick everything up, burping along the way.

So there was Snooki with the hiccups and Vinny with the burps (it was a veritable cornucopia of body gases), and their stumbling through the house together towards Vinny's bed. "Just stay with me, we're good," Vinny said before they finally passed out together. Next to each other. But not on top of each other.

But when Vinny woke up he wasn't sure! "Did I bang Snooki last night? Did I do the unthinkable?" No.

The next night, Mike, Pauly and Vinny wanted to have a guys night and geeked out over the fact that the first letter of each of their names is "MVP." MVP! MVP! They kept shouting it. But then Angelina wanted to tag along, too. "It's not MVPA," Pauly explained. But she was determined, so the guys waited until she was looking the other way and ran out.

When they got to the bar, Vinny decided it was filled with grenades, "like the Bronx Zoo." But, "Mike and Pauly would take home a stray dog if there were no girls left," so they made due with what they had and brought a bunch of girls back to the house for a dip in the hot tub.

I'll let Mike explain what happened next: "At one particularly point, I'm in the jacuzzi and I put water on my face and I'm like ::gasp:: we've got grenades man! We're at the zoo!"

Mike panicked and looked to his pal Pauly for some help, but "one the hyenas hypnotized him."

Finally, all the guys were knocked out of their drunken grenade stupor when Vinny spotted something floating around the hot tub. It was one of their ladyfriends' bra inserts, or "chicken cutlets" as their known on the streets. They tossed it out of the tub and it landed on the concrete like a dead fish. Night over.

When it was Snooki's turn to go to work, she discovered that not only can she not see over the counter, but she can't even reach the ice creams in the freezer because she's so short. She needed a stool. The only thing that perked up her day was a ride on a giant dog statue outside the shop. Mike propped her up and she threw a leg over it. "It hurts my vagina," she whined. So Mike went to help her down. "No," she protested. "I like it."

And finally, back to Sammi and Ronnie. When they worked together, Ronnie was bored so he decided to call Sammi his "girlfriend." This made her think that she was his girlfriend. Go figure! So later, when she announced that she didn't want to go out, she thought Ronnie would stay in and cuddle with her. He obviously went out with the guys instead and started creeping on other chicks.

Snooki and JWOWW are starting to feel really bad about this, because it has clearly becoming a pattern: Ronnie goes out, gets drunk, rubs up against some strange at the club, then comes home and infects Sammi with it. It's a dirty cycle and Snooki and JWOWW want to put an end it.

But what will they do? Well, it looks like next week they're going to type up an anonymous note and send it to Sammi. Here's hoping spellcheck doesn't autocorrect "syphilis

Eclipse script leaked : Twilight Saga Movie

All the Twilight fans are frantically searching the web for the Twilight Saga: Eclipse script that was supposedly leaked on Twitter. So far I haven’t been able to find anything except for the image here. If it is in fact true and the script has leaked, will you read it or will you just read the book and watch the movie when it comes out? I think I’ll just wait for the movie. I’ve read the book so it’s not like I’m completely in the dark about what will happen. I’m waiting for the movie so that I can see the book come to live, it’s just not the same with a script which essentially is just more text.

Has the Twilight Eclipse script leaked? As rumors about Eclipse script leaked flew, it appears it may be true. There is are updates about Twilight Eclipse script leaked at several websites and Twitter.
Apparently according to Eclipse script leaked rumors, there is a pdf version of the complete script that can be downloaded. Are viruses included? Nobody is sure.

'Twilight: Eclipse' script leaked? Jackson Rathbone is in SO much trouble.

Tuesday (Jan. 5) with word of a leaked script from the upcoming third "Twilight" movie "Eclipse."

While The Dish Rag did easily locate a site where a pdf version of the complete script can supposedly be downloaded, we declined since who knows what sort of vampiric computer virus might come along for the ride.

However, a screenshot of the first page of the blue script (meaning it's an early one and not likely what was shot from) has also been making the rounds and if this is the real deal, Jackson Rathbone (who plays Jasper) can expect to get a talking to from Summit very, very soon.

It appears the movie opens with Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) turning Riley (Xavier Samuel) into the vampire that she plans to send after Bella (Kristen Stewart).

This isn't the first time "Twilight" has had a script escape. Last May, a hairdresser found a "New Moon" script in a St. Louis trash bin. She returned it to the studio in exchange for a pair of premiere tickets.

It was speculated that that script found it's way to to that particular garbage can courtesy of Anna Kendrick who was filming "Up in the Air" in St. Louis and plays Jessica in the "Twilight" saga.

Redskins fire Zorn

The Washington Redskins fired Head Coach Jim Zorn at about 4 AM this morning and have scheduled a team meeting and press conference later today. The firing came very soon after the team returned from San Diego following a 23-20 loss to the Chargers that ended the regular season and left Washington with a 4-12 record, its worst since the team went 3-13 in Norv Turner’s first year as Head Coach in 1994. The loss dropped Zorn’s record to 12-20 as Redskins head coach, the same as Steve Spurrier during his 2002-2003 stint with the team. The firing of Zorn has been inevitable almost since the beginning of the season and he became
the first coach to be fired following the 2009 season.

He had come directly to Redskins Park from the airport, arriving just ahead of buses carrying players at roughly 2:15 a.m. Most players and coaches – including defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and defensive coordinator Greg Blache – walked directly to their cars, but others went into the building. As he walked to his car, Blache told the media, “Let the dude go.” Secondary coach Jerry Gray and offensive coordinator Sherman Smith left shortly afterward.

At around 2:45, Redskins’ security ordered all media to leave the parking lot, with one security member saying that it was so that Zorn would not be bothered when he left the building. Over the next two hours, coaches continued to leave the property and at about 4:30 a.m., running backs coach Stump Mitchell got into his car. Redskins security and staff members came out of the building about 10 minutes later and walked toward the media room, which is in a different building, presumably to assure that Zorn would not be bothered by the small media group that had approached Mitchell.

Zorn then came out and walked to his car with a security escort and left the park at 4:43 a.m., talking on his cellphone as he drove out of the parking lot.

With the Redskins already having satisfied the “Rooney Rule” by interviewing Jerry Gray, an African-American coach, the team could hire a replacement for Zorn almost immediately. Don’t be surprised if owner Dan Snyder and new General Manager Bruce Allen introduce a replacement for Zorn today or tomorrow at the very latest. If that replacement is, as has long been rumored here and elsewhere, Mike Shanahan, expect all the other Redskins coaches to be fired soon, as well. Shanahan, or any other big name coach, is likely to want a clean slate and will bring in his own guys to assist him in running the team.

The Washington Redskins fired head coach Jim Zorn on Monday, just hours after a 23-20 loss to the San Diego Chargers ended a season which yielded just four wins.

Zorn, who had one year left on his contract, was 12-20 during his two years with the Redskins.

“The status quo is not acceptable,” Redskins general manager Bruce Allen, who has been in the job for three weeks, said in a statement. “I felt it was necessary to not waste a moment of time to begin building this team into a winner.”

Zorn, 56, was expected to be replaced by former Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan in the next few days, the Washington Post reported, citing team officials.

For many people in the technology industry, the Consumer Electronics Show kicking off this week in Las Vegas is like the Super Bowl, Christmas and an epic game of show and tell all rolled into one.

Each January, the biggest names in the technology world gather under the neon lights of the Las Vegas Strip to showcase the latest tech toys dreamt up in their research and development labs and to offer the world a sneak peak at the hottest gadgets for the year ahead.

Over the years, CES has been the stage for the unveiling of landmark technological innovations, including the VCR, CD players, HDTVs and Microsoft's Xbox.

More than 2,500 companies will be on hand this year, surrounded by more than 100,000 journalists, bloggers, analysts and industry bigwigs, all on the lookout for what's going to be hot in the world of consumer electronics in 2010.

CES comes at a crucial time for the technology and consumer electronics industries. Many economists and financial experts believe a recovery in the tech sector can act as a leading indicator and that the broader economy will soon be on the mend.

Ever since a handful of tech bellwethers -- including International Business Machines Corp., Google Inc. and Intel Corp. -- reported strong results in October, talk of a tech recovery has only grown louder.

Last week, the tech sector reclaimed the top spot in S&P 500 weighting -- surpassing financial stocks -- after beginning 2009 a distant second, according to Thomson Reuters.

Information technology stocks accounted for 19.87% market representation, more than five percentage points more than financials at the close of trading last week.

Rumours are swirling that search-engine kingpin Google Inc. will unveil its first company-branded smartphone, the Nexus One, during a press conference tomorrow at the company's Mountain View, Calif., headquarters. The device itself is expected to make its first public appearance at CES.

Like last year, 3D televisions are likely to be the talk of CES this week. However, unlike last year when electronics manufacturers stuck to showing off prototypes, heavyweights Sony Corp. and Panasonic Corp. are due to unveil 3D TVs that consumers will be able to purchase this year.

For some manufacturers, 3D TVs will take a back seat to super-slim TVs. LG Electronics Inc. will be showcasing the world's thinnest LCD TV, measuring just 2.6 millimetres thick.

Following the lead of Amazon.com Inc.' s Kindle device, many manufacturers are believed to be preparing e-readers to gain a foothold in the rapidly expanding market for digital books. Netbooks and other small computers that bridge the gap between a laptop and a smartphone -- many running Microsoft Corp.'s recently released Windows 7 -- are also expected to be popular.

BlackBerry maker Research In Motion Ltd. will have a booth on the convention floor, but the Waterloo, Ont.-based company isn't expected to make any major announcements regarding new handsets.

When computer giant Apple Inc. announced last year that it would no longer attend the annual Macworld Conference & Expo, which is typically held in January about the same time as CES, beginning in 2010, many industry observers speculated that Steve Jobs would make an appearance in Las Vegas.

However, Apple isn't expected to be at CES this year, which means Mac fans will likely have to await a still unofficial Apple event, believed to be scheduled for the end of January, for a peak at the company's rumoured tablet-style computer, which has been creating buzz online for several months.

UltraDNS Outage “Multiple Site Down”

This morning, our Dynect Platform monitoring system noticed a problem, a big one. From our global perspective, it appears that many online services, including amazon.com (the store, AWS, and S3), salesforce.com, advertisting.com, and petco.com, had some serious DNS troubles.

As many of our readers know, DNS is the glue that binds domain names, like dynect.com to their respective server’s IP addresses (204.13.248.122). Without DNS, nothing works; no web, e-mail, voip, IM, file sharing, etc.

The Dynect Team quickly began to analyze the situation by checking the resolution chains for these popular web sites. Our analysis revealed that multiple UltraDNS PDNS (a special class of ultradns server) nodes were failing to respond to all DNS queries.

Amazon.com clearly knew about the problem, as our monitoring then detected a change in the delegation for amazon.com from UltraDNS’ PDNS nodes to their UDNS nodes at approximately 8:50 am Eastern.

Arnold Stang, actor known for nerdy roles, dies

Arnold Stang, an actor who appeared alongside Milton Berle and Frank Sinatra and was known for his nerdy looks and distinctive nasal voice, has died. He was 91.
Stang died Sunday of pneumonia at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts, said JoAnne Stang, his wife of 60 years.
She attributed her husband's career longevity to his willingness to tackle any professional challenge.
"He was really unique, because he could perform in any role, comedy or drama, he just loved it all," she said Tuesday. "He always thought of himself just as an actor, not any particular kind of actor, but just an actor who would play whatever he was asked to play."
Despite often playing goofy characters, Stang was the consummate professional, preparing the same for his biggest roles and the smallest commercials.
"I remember how smart he was, and how hard-working, and how disciplined he was, no matter what the role," his wife said.
The slight and diminutive Stang started his career on the radio as a teenager and never lost his love of the medium.

JoAnne Stang remembers her husband zipping across Manhattan in the 1940s and '50s, from radio show to radio show, all live and challenging in their own way because all the acting is done through voice, with no facial expressions or body language, she said.
"That was his education," she said.
He played alongside Berle on radio and television in the 1950s, starred as Sinatra's sidekick in the 1955 movie "The Man with the Golden Arm," and was a member of the ensemble comedic cast of "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" in 1963.
The dramatic role alongside Sinatra was one of his favorites, his wife said.
He voiced cartoons, including the lead character in the 1960s cartoon "Top Cat," and did dozens of commercials, perhaps most notably for the Chunky candy bar.
He appeared in movies alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bill Cosby and continued acting into his 80s, playing a role in the 1993 movie "Dennis the Menace."
Stang invented and mischievously perpetuated a story that he was born and raised in the Boston suburb of Chelsea. But his wife said he was really raised in Brooklyn. He lived in the Boston suburb of Needham for the past decade.
In addition to his wife, Stang is survived by son David and daughter Deborah.

SNL Brittany Murphy Spoof Scrubbed From Web, After Death

After Brittany Murphy’s death on Sunday, a Saturday Night Live parody portraying the Clueless actress, as well clueless, has disappeared from the Internet. The “Weekend Update” skit aired on Dec. 5, 2009 and it has been quietly removed from sites, like Hulu.com and YouTube, since the 32-year-old actress was pronounced dead of cardiac arrest at a Los Angeles hospital.

The Dec. 5 “Weekend Update” segment, with Seth Meyers, reported that Murphy had recently been fired from a film named, “The Caller.” SNL cast member Abby Elliott then appeared on the segment portraying Brittany Murphy, as confused and disoriented, thinking she was still the host of SNL in an appearance she made, seven years ago in 2002:
“It was reported this week that actress Brittany Murphy was fired from her upcoming film, ‘The Caller,’ for being a detriment to production,” says “Weekend Update” anchor Seth Meyers.
“And … oh noooo,” he says as she appears next to him.
“I’m really honored to be here hosting ‘Saturday Night Live,’” says a wasted looking Elliot playing Murphy.
“No, Brittany, you’re not hosting,” says Meyers.
Elliott as Murphy, says she’s been fired, and tells Meyers that it’s not so bad.

The decision by SNL to pull the Murphy segment from the Internet, seems to be based on respect for the popular film star’s career and her family, as the skit appeared so soon before her death. But some fans are questioning SNL’s decision to pull it and others are suggesting that the parody of Murphy, as delusional should not have been aired at all.
A spokesperson for “Saturday Night Live” declined to comment.
Murphy’s sudden death has shocked her family and fans. According to TMZ, the L.A. County Coroner completed the young actress’ autopsy on Monday and found no signs of foul play. The cause of death has been put on hold, pending toxicology results and other tests, which could take four to six weeks.

Snooki, Snooki. MTV's "Jersey Shore" castmate transformed from sloppy, slutty drunk to acrobatic party girl to tragic figure in the course of one episode. MTV indeed faded to black just before Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi took a fist to the face from a drunken Benny, and it was no laughing matter. We wish MTV hadn't promoted the clip in the first place, turning the punch into national punchline. MTV saved the punch for the last couple of minutes; we'll presumably see the fallout next week.
When we last saw lovebirds Sammi Giancola and Ronnie, their epic romance was in the crapper because Sammi gave her number to a guy friend after she saw Ronnie dancing with another girl. Ronnie stormed off, followed by Jenni "JWoww" Farley, and when Sammi heard about that, she followed them home. She finds Ronnie lying facedown on his bed wearing only a towel, and JWoww is in the next bed. It does look suspicious, and Sammy asks JWoww if they hooked up. She denies it. Ronnie doesn't want to talk to Sammi, and they call each other disgusting and Sammi storms off upstairs. Ronnie, adjusting his towel, follows. (On the upside, this must be great cardio.)

It's the clip everyone is talking about. MTV's new show 'Jersey Shore' had it's problems before this week; advertisers were backing off and outrage was building. Nothing could heighten the backlash more than this clip. One of Jersey Shore's stars, the pint-sized 'Snookie,' is involved in a fight on next week's show. After an argument over a drink, Snookie is punched in the face by a man at a local club. The man, a school teacher from New York, was later arrested. The incident occurs :18 into this preview clip for next week's episode.

'American Idol:' Adam Lambert will be fine on 'So You Think You Can Dance

Adam Lambert shouldn't have any problem giving a performance on "So You Think You Can Dance," at least if we're to believe the words of head judge / executive producer Nigel Lythgoe. In a discussion with The Press Association, Lythgoe (who is also an executive producer on "American Idol") believes that Adam's "SYTYCD" performance will go off as rehearsed without a hitch.
The only reason so much drama surrounds Adam at this point is because of some recent controversy surrounding an unrehearsed, same-sex kiss at the American Music Awards. ABC has since canceled many appearances by the singer on their network, while other stations have shown a willingness to continue bringing the singer on board.
After lighting up "SYTYCD," Adam will be heading to "The Jay Leno Show" next week. Check back soon, as I will have more on Adam's performance on Wednesday night as it happens (not to mention more "American Idol" news).

So You Think You Can Dance Finale: Injuries, Adam Lambert & a New Winner!

The most painful part of tonight's So You Think You Can Dance finale was not watching Adam Lambert turn in a creatively neutered performance of "Whattya Want From Me."

No, it was seeing krumper Russell Ferguson limp onto the stage for the first cut of the night with help from fellow top-sixer Ryan Di Lillo.

"I messed my leg up," Russell told a startled Cat Deeley, who needed the immediate delivery of a new microphone after the sound had pooped out moments before.

The fan fave was unable to dance any further after perhaps busting his knee during the hip-hop number he stomped out with Legacy Perez and Kevin Hunte. So the audience had to make do with taped versions of the two other numbers he was supposed to re-perform tonight, last night's hip-hop routine with Kathryn McCormick and "Frog Dance" with Noelle Marsh.

But at least his leg made it all the way to the finale before giving out. So the real question remained whether his night was only going to get worse?

Nope.

When all was said and danced, Russell Ferguson was crowned the winner of the sixth season of SYTYCD.

Upon hearing the news, the 20-year-old from Boston forgot all about his bum leg, leaped off his stool, let out a loud whoop! and ripped his shirt off.

"Whoa!" he screamed as Cat finally wrangled him back to the microphone.
"I just want to thank everybody so much," began a now-hoarse Russell, who beat out the beyond-gifted Jakob Karr for the top spot (and $250,000). "This means everything to me. I've been dreaming of this since, I don't know, since I was born. I came out and was, like, 'Aaah!'"
Before the emotional coronation of Russell, Wednesday's two-hour show clipped along at a swift pace, packing in as many extras as it could, including performances by Lambert, Leona Lewis (she hit up the Idol finale this year, too), Jennifer Lopez and Mary J. Blige.
After helping Russell onto the stage, Ryan was actually the first to be eliminated tonight, followed by his wife Ashleigh Di Lillo (at least we got to see them jive, and it was awesome), Ellenore Scott and Kathryn.
Despite the rushed feeling provided by this abbreviated season—come on, a six-person finale, really?—we're going to start counting the days until season seven right now.

But just in case you need someone to root for until then, Fox rolls out the ninth season of American Idol on Jan. 12.

Boeing 787 First Flight Video Released

A new Boeing 787 first flight video has been released across the Internet showing the often delayed plane passing another test in the long line of steps needed for completion of the newest model.

The newest Boeing plane has been delayed almost three years already past its original delivery date The new plane was built primarily using titanium and carbon fiber to improve fuel costs and also save on maintenance costs. The design is radical and still needs upwards of nine or more months to be run through more tests.

The 787 Boeing Dreamliner left on its maiden voyage today for a scheduled four hour test flight from Washington State.

With the number of flyers dropping significantly, the 787 is highly anticipated by major airlines to help save fuel and repair costs.

Reports indicate that there are up to six of the 787 Dreamliner planes to be used for testing.

The Snooki punch video would have been part of an upcoming episode, but due to its disturbing nature, MTV has decided it would best be left out of the show. "Snooki", aka Nicole Polizzi, is a 21 year old from this newer television reality show that features the lives of self-proclaimed "guidos" and "guidettes"-- which are apparently young Italian Americans who like to have a good time and look nice. The "Jersey Shore" punch clip has undoubtedly captured a very real aspect of that ... lifestyle.According to Cityfile New York, while MTV has opted to exclude the Snooki punch clip, they will still air a message about abusive relationships for that episode. Reality Tea identifies the man responsible for the punch as Brad Ferro, a 24 year old gym teacher for a New York high school. He has since been placed on some level of "reassignment". The altercation took place in a bar, where an intoxicated Ferro was denied further alcohol, and decided to take drinks belonging to Snooki and her Jersey Shore companions. When this started a heated exchanged between Snooki and Ferro, he responded by punching her in the face. Controversy aside, one of the most appalling behaviors on MTV’s Jersey Shore was a teaser clip at the end of episode 1. The clip showed Jersey Shore star, Nicole Polizzi aka Snooki getting punched in the face by a man at a bar.

The man doing the punching has now been identified as Brad Ferro. Brad, a 24 year-old teacher at a New York City high school, was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct in August after hitting Snooki at the Beachcomber Bar & Grill, reports The New York Times. Because the school administrators were not notified, Brad continued to teach gym at North Queens Community High despite the offense.

Now, Brad has stopped teaching and has been placed into one of the Department of Education’s teacher reassignment centers, according to the New York Times. During the night of the incident, Seaside Heights Det. Steve Korman told the Post that the Bartender stopped pouring Brad a drink because he was intoxicated, so he took alcohol belonging to Snooki and her friends.

“That started a verbal altercation after which he struck her in the face,” Korman said. “She sustained an injury to the inside of her mouth due to the punch.”

The controversial show has been criticized by the Italian American community who believe it promotes negative stereotypes and use of the offensive words “Guido” and “Guidette.

MTV has also decided not to air the punch clip anymore in the upcoming episode 4. “What happened to “Snooki” was a crime and obviously extremely disturbing,” MTV said in a statement Friday. “After hearing from our viewers, further consulting with experts on the issue of violence, and seeing how the video footage has been taken out of context to not show the severity of this act or the resulting consequences, MTV has decided not to air “Snooki” being physically punched in next week’s episode.”

MTV said the episode will still make clear what happened that night and plans to air a message at the end of the show listing available resources for those in abusive relationships.

Italian actress Alyssa Milano also recently criticized the show. She told UsWeekly, “My husband actually showed me the trailer on YouTube last night, and I got upset,” she said. “It upset me. I was like, ‘Turn that off!’ So no, I don’t think I’ll be watching that!’”

MTV is deleting a controversial scene from an upcoming "Jersey Shore" episode in which a female contestant gets punched in the face.

The network had teased the moment repeatedly, and the clip circulating online has caused a sensation. In the clip, New York gym teacher Dan Ferro punches Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi. Ferro was arrested, pleaded guilty and was given probation. MTV will show the aftermath of the event but not the punch itself.

"What happened to Snooki was a crime and obviously extremely disturbing," MTV said. For the WISE mission, the spacecraft was launched on a Delta II 7320-10C configuration vehicle featuring a ULA first stage booster powered by a Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne RS-27A main engine and three Alliant Techsystems (ATK) strap-on solid rocket motors. An Aerojet AJ10-118K engine powered the second stage. The payload was encased by a 10-foot-diameter composite payload fairing.

NASA WISE telescope was launched today at approximately 9:09 AM from California. If you’ve been following the launch, you know it was previously delayed.
WISE, stands for Wide Field Infrared Sky Explorer. And it has a mission for 10 months to map in incredible detail the sky in infrared. The observatory will scan the sky in 9 months before completing the mission.

NASA WISE telescope was launched Monday at 9:09 a.m. EST from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The launching of the WISE telescope was already delayed due to a minor glitch.

Wide-Field Infrared Sky Explorer (WISE) was launched into space on a Delta-2 rocket, which produces about 200,000 pounds of thrust, and propelled the craft at over 15,000 miles per hour. Delta quickly broken the sound barrier, rapidly accelerating on the power of its first stage main engine and the three ground-lit strap-on solid-fuel boosters.

The $320 million WISE telescope has an ambitious 10-month mission to map the entire sky in infrared in unprecedented detail. Once in orbit above Earth, the observatory is expected to scan the sky 1 1/2 times in nine months before completing its mission.

After a three day delay, NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer this morning blasted into space courtesy of a Delta II rocket and will soon begin bathing the cosmos with infrared light, picking up the glow of hundreds of millions of objects and producing millions of images.

The space agency says the WISE spacecraft will circle Earth over the poles, scanning the entire sky one-and-a-half times in nine months. The idea behind the spacecraft is to uncover objects never seen before, including the coolest stars, the universe's most luminous galaxies and some of the darkest near-Earth asteroids and comets

20 projects that kept NASA hopping in 2009

WISE will also scan for near-Earth objects, such as asteroids and comets, with orbits that come close to crossing Earth's path. The mission is expected to find hundreds of these bodies, and hundreds of thousands of additional asteroids in our solar system's main asteroid belt, NASA stated. By measuring the objects' infrared light, astronomers will get the first good estimate of the size distribution of the asteroid population. This information will tell us approximately how often Earth can expect an encounter with a potentially hazardous asteroid, NASA said.
The idea of getting a better handle on near-Earth asteroids could ease some concerns that NASA had been missing some of these occurrences. A National Academy of Sciences report earlier this year said that while Congress mandated four years ago that NASA detect and track 90% of space rocks known as near earth objects (NEO) 140 kilometer in diameter or larger, it has not authorized any funds to build additional observatories, either in space or on the ground, to help NASA achieve its goals.
WISE’s infrared telescope and detectors are kept chilled inside a Thermos-like tank of solid hydrogen, called a cryostat. This prevents WISE from picking up the heat, or infrared, signature of its own instrument. The solid hydrogen, called a cryogen, is expected to last about 10 months and will keep the WISE telescope at a minus 429 degrees Fahrenheit, NASA stated.
After a one-month checkout period, WISE will spend six months mapping the whole sky. It will then begin a second scan to uncover even more objects and to look for any changes in the sky that might have occurred since the first survey, according to NASA. This second partial sky survey will end about three months later when the spacecraft's frozen-hydrogen cryogen runs out. Data from the mission will be released to the astronomical community in two stages: a preliminary release will take place six months after the end of the survey, or about 16 months after launch, and a final release is scheduled for 17 months after the end of the survey, or about 27 months after launch.

WISE will join two other infrared missions in space -- NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope and the Herschel Space Observatory, a European Space Agency mission with important NASA participation. WISE is different from these missions in that it will survey the entire sky, NASA stated.

BCS bowl schedule 2010 set after bowls selection

The 2010 BCS selection show finalized the 2010 BCS bowl schedule. This particular BCS bowl schedule isn't as impressive as it could have been, because again the BCS was afraid to pit Boise State or TCU up against any of the other top schools. Instead fans are left with a Boise State vs. TCU game which is good on paper, but just becomes another slap in the face to conferences that aren't part of the BCS automatic qualifier process. The BCS National Championship Game will have Texas vs. Alabama, and will take place on January 7th, 2010 at 5:00 P.M. PST on ABC. That should be a good game, but it's ridiculous how many votes separated TCU from Texas in the final polls. That's what it came down to in the end anyways, votes on which team would be the more popular choice to play in the 2010 National Championship game, not actually who was the better team. The Orange Bowl ended up with an Iowa vs. Georgia Tech match-up that will take place on January 5th, 2010 at 5:00 P.M. PST on Fox.

On January 4th, 2010 at 5:00 P.M. PST is the Fiesta Bowl, which will have Boise State vs. TCU as its prime time match-up, pitting two undefeated teams against each other. So the winner of this game will be voted as the second best team in the country right? I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, because there are too many people that still feel Florida is better than Boise State, even though Florida refused to play Boise State. Then there is the Sugar Bowl which will be Florida vs. Cincinnati on January 1st, 2010 at 5:30 P.M. PST on Fox. But everything gets started with the Rose Bowl on January 1st at 1:30 P.M. PST between Ohio State and Oregon on ABC.

Trail Blazers to make first of two regular-season appearances in "Rip City" gear

Portland, Ore. - Tomorrow night, in front of a sold out crowd and a national television audience, the Portland Trail Blazers will wear commemorative "Rip City" jerseys, paying homage to the enduring 40-year bond between the team and its fans.

The jersey, designed in conjunction with the team's 40th anniversary season, unofficially debuted during the October 14 preseason game vs. Phoenix. It will be worn twice during the regular season—Friday night vs. San Antonio and on Fan Appreciation Night, April 14 vs. Golden State.

"Since the day that Bill Schonely first uttered the words in 1971, ‘Rip City' has become synonymous with Portland and Blazermania," Chief Marketing Officer Sarah Mensah said. "These jerseys were our way of using the 40th anniversary platform to celebrate and recognize the role our fans have played in the success the Trail Blazers franchise."

On February 18, 1971, Schonely yelled the first ‘Rip City!' cry in response to a long-distance field goal by Trail Blazer Jim Barnett. The rest, as they say, is history.

The most famous of many terms coined by the former Trail Blazers voice, Rip City grew to become synonymous with the basketball fervor that enveloped the city when the team won the 1977 NBA Championship and make 26 playoff appearances in a 27-year stretch from 1977-2003.

The return of Rip City, marked by 74 consecutive sellouts and last spring's Rip City Uprise rally for an estimated 15,000 fans, has been evident throughout the team's resurgence.

As a result, Rip City merchandise - including jerseys and T-shirts - has been some of the hottest selling merchandise in the Trail Blazers Fan Shop, accounting for more than 20 percent of the store's sales this season.

As a response to the unprecedented demand for Trail Blazers merchandise, the team opened a retail kiosk at Washington Square to aid holiday shoppers through the end of December.

Any star is an unknowable quantity, one from whom we expect distance but crave intimacy -- it’s the paradox that drives the star-making industry. With our pop stars, we literally can’t get enough: we flock to flawed films, hungry for a glimpse of the “true” person behind the persona. We’ve watched Bette Midler channel Janis Joplin (sort of) in “The Rose,” Elvis remain himself even when he should be acting (just about any film), U2’s self-aggrandizing at the dawn of its career in “Rattle and Hum,” Madonna playing herself in both fiction (“Desperately Seeking Susan”) and documentary (“Truth or Dare”). The latest in line? Michael Jackson, who’s drawn a flood of viewers to the posthumously released rehearsal doc “This Is It,” which topped the box office last weekend.

“This Is It” doesn’t fit easily into any musical film category. It sets itself up as nonfiction; no actor plumbs the lurid rumors that dogged Jackson for years before his death, a la Bette Midler in “The Rose.” Nor does MJ “act” the way Elvis did in star vehicles like “Blue Hawaii” (though there is an odd sequence for “Smooth Criminal” in which MJ is green-screened into the Humphrey Bogart film “Gilda”). Yet Elvis and MJ share a certain quality: they only come alive in performance. In “Blue Hawaii,” Elvis was rarely more than a cardboard cutout, a smiling presence who delivered his few lines with a self-consciousness that was painful to watch. But when the music started, that affable glaze evaporated, and the King’s vital force took over. The thrill came in the moment when he transformed from untalented actor to the rocker who left us shaking in our shoes. The same thing happens when MJ begins to rehearse in earnest: his dancing during “Billie Jean” or the final moments of the ballad “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” will give you chills.

PST. Jay Bias Death, In a way, these 30 “by 30″ movies are almost idiot-proof. The stories that have been elected so far has been so intrinsically interesting that almost no matter how filmmakers have chosen to tell. I love Mike Tollin assume the USFL, but then many of you said you were just happy to see all that footage.

Kirk Fraser “without prejudice” feels like another example of that phenomenon. Fraser comes to things at least two hours of film into a bag of 50 minutes, the end result is a film that jumps between the sub too many stories, and that has to be guided by talking heads too …

… And yet, I care, because it is obvious how much Fraser, and all persons who have the opportunity to speak in the film, worried about Len Bias. He was so important to so many people, and if you are old enough (and I confess that I am a couple of years too young to fit in this group), I understand that his death was every bit the couple, even disturbing the whole world described in the film.
The problem is that there are so many potential stories that can tell about Len Bias – Cocaine use among athletes (college or professional) of the time, the impact on your family and friends, how his death changed the fate of the Celtics (Bill Simmons has written about many times), the ripple effect may have had in the war against drugs – and not just pick one and say that all the way, Fraser tries to give a little time at all. The segment of the night of the death of Bias, and its immediate consequences, is both the longest and the best part of “without prejudice”, but many other parts of the film – the stuff of mandatory minimum sentences, particularly – they feel ill-fed.
However, many of the sound bytes and images of the film have stayed with me in the week since I saw it: the composure of Mrs. Bias, Tribble’s regret ( “Why should we be so stupid as to do drugs? “), the eloquence of Michael Wilbon (which is easy to forget if you just see him on” PTI “every day, as I do) and, above all television interview about the murder of Jay Bias , where the father talks about “the praise that I would give to Len Bias’, then stops himself when he realizes what he just said (and what a horrible double burden has been visited by his family) and is back tears.

Back and forth until Bourne takes Miz down with a head scissors and kick to the face. Miz goes to the floor and Bourne flies over the top with knees. Bourne brings Miz back in the ring for a 2 count. Miz takes control back and drops Bourne's gut over the top rope. Miz with kicks to the ribs now and a submission hold. Bourne breaks out of the hold with a 2 count. Miz with rights to the gut. He goes for a suplex but Bourne counters it with a knee to the head and a 2 count. Bourne with another knee to the head. Miz falls back into the corner. Bourne charges and ends up with a kick off the second rope for another 2 count. Miz catches Bourne with a jawbreaker but runs into a big boot in the corner. Bourne goes up top for the Shooting Star Splash. Miz moves and Bourne lands on his feet. Miz hip tosses Bourne into the corner and hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the pinfall and the win.

Tonight's WWE RAW opens with "Crazy Train" playing. Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne appear in the ring and the crowd loves it. Ozzy laughs and says "all aboard...." Sharon says this isn't the first time Ozzy has been in a WWE ring and we flash back to his appearance at WrestleMania years ago and on SmackDown a few years back. Sharon asks Ozzy if he remembers that and he says no. The music hits and out comes The Miz.

The WWE United States Champion makes his way to the ring and Ozzy gets up off his throne. Miz asks Sharon if it's going to be a crazy night and she calls him a little boy. Miz says he is a bigger star than Ozzy and his entire family combined. Sharon mocks him and calls him a little boy again. Miz tells them to pay close attention to what he is about to say. He says he got robbed of his match against Evan Bourne last week due to outside interference. He tells Ozzy and Sharon to strike his loss from the record and have the referee overturn the decision. Ozzy asks him who the bloody hell he is. Miz says he's awesome when Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase make their way to the ring.

Legacy hit the ring and say it's petty for Miz to complain about losing by count out because they have a real problem. Cody talks about buying the NASCAR car for Randy Orton last week and Ted cuts him off, saying he paid more for it. They talk about Kofi Kingston destroying the car. They tell Ozzy to put them in a handicap match against Kofi tonight. Miz tells them to wait his return. Sharon keeps saying "really." Big Show's music hits and out he comes to the ring.

Show looks pissed off as he makes his way into the ring. Show tells Ozzy and Sharon not to listen to these whiners and complainers. He says he was betrayed and physically assaulted by the entire RAW roster last week. Show demands an apology. Ozzy tells him he's sorry. Show says no, he wants the entire RAW roster to come out and apologize and if he doesn't, they are all going to get one of these.. and holds up his fist. Ozzy yells Sharon's name. DX's music hits next and out they come to a big pop.

Shawn and Triple H shake the hands of Ozzy and Sharon and calls Show, Miz and Legacy ratings killers. Triple H pulls out Ozzy's new book and plugs it. HBK pulls out the new DX book and they plug that too. Ozzy is awesome. Miz tells them this isn't time for shameless plugs, this is serious. Triple H says if Miz wants his loss taken off the books, watch this. He whispers something to Ozzy. Ozzy says Miz is going to face Evan Bourne tonight for the US Title. HBK addresses Legacy and shamelessly plugs WrestleMania tickets going on sale this weekend. HBK whispers in Sharon's ear and she announces Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton for tonight. Show says maybe he doesn't want an apology, maybe he wants a warm-up for Survivor Series. He proposes John Cena vs. Triple H vs. HBK tonight and whispers in Ozzy's ear. Ozzy announces John Cena vs. Chris Jericho vs. Big Show, after Triple H whispers in his ear. Show doesn't like this and whines to Sharon. She says Ozzy has the final word and if Show isn't down with that, she has two words for him... the crowd finishes the rest. DX celebrate in the ring with Ozzy and Sharon as the other Superstars leave the ring. Ozzy does the DX pose with HBK and HHH while Sharon throws an X up. We go to commercial.

- Back from commercial and Josh Matthews is backstage with Sheamus. Matthews says Sheamus is facing Jamie Noble tonight and asks if he will do anything to impress Ozzy Osbourne tonight. Sheamus says Ozzy's career should have been over a long time ago and after tonight, Jamie Noble's career will be over. We go to ringside where Cole and Lawler hype up Sheamus.

The music hits and out comes Sheamus while Jamie Noble is already waiting in the ring. The bell rings and Sheamus charges Noble, knocking him down. He whips him in the opposite corner and starts dropping knees to the back. Noble rolls to the floor and Sheamus follows. Sheamus throws Jamie hard into the ring post and brings him back in the ring. Sheamus with a big clothesline to the back of the head and more kicks.

Sheamus continues to dominate Noble and drops him over his knee. Sheamus hits the big pump kick to the head and Noble goes back down. Sheamus goes for the pin but breaks it at the 2 count. Sheamus tosses Noble into the corner and unloads with rights and kicks. The ref pulls him off but he goes right back at it. Noble is down in the corner. The referee calls for the bell after checking on him. Sheamus takes Noble to the top and hits him with more rights. Sheamus runs and kicks Noble off the top turnbuckle and down to the floor. Sheamus goes to the floor and powerbombs Noble on the concrete. WWE officials rush down and check on Noble, who appears to be in all kinds of pain. Sheamus backs up the ramp as they bring a stretcher out for Noble. We go to replays. The match is announced as the referee calling it but no winner is announced. Sheamus stands on top of the ramp smiling as they load Noble up on the stretcher and we go to another replay. We go to commercial.

- We come back from break and Lawler and Cole promise an update on Jamie Noble's condition later tonight. We cut back to last week's RAW where Randy Orton threw Kofi Kingston off the stage and later on where Kofi destroyed Orton's NASCAR given to him by Legacy. We see Kofi backstage making his way to the ring when Josh Matthews stops him. He asks Kofi if he has regrets from last week. Kofi says Orton is blaming someone else for his problems, like a bully. Kofi talks about destroying the car but says he left the mirror on it so Orton can take a look at why he's on longer WWE Champion. He says he doesn't regret a thing and we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Randy Orton makes his way to the ring after we get a plug for Ozzy's new book. Orton wastes no time getting to the ring and he's pissed. Out next is Kofi Kingston. The bell rings and Orton taunts Kofi a bit. They talk trash and slap each other. Kofi with right hands and kicks. Orton takes him to the corner and beats him down. The referee has to break it up.

Orton works over Kofi some more and the crowd chants for Kofi. Kofi ducks a clothesline and hits a big dropkick. Kofi clotheslines Orton over the top to the floor and comes out after him. Kofi with a big right hand and he brings Orton back in the ring. Legacy rush down and Orton gets thrown over the top onto them. Kofi runs the ropes and dives onto all three Legacy members on the floor. Kofi enters the ring and they surround it. Ozzy and Sharon appear on the big screen. They make this a 6 man tag match. Ozzy says let the madness begin and out comes Mark Henry and MVP.

Mark Henry, MVP and Kofi Kingston vs. Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton

MVP and Mark Henry make their way down to the ring as Legacy look around confused. We go to commercial break. Back from the break and Ted is going at it with Kofi in the ring. Cody comes in and Kofi tosses him across the ring. Orton comes in and Kofi takes him out. He goes back to work on Ted and tags in MVP. They hit the Ballin' elbow and Boom Drop at the same time. MVP with a 2 count on Ted.

Henry is tagged in and he drops Ted with a headbutt. Henry misses a clothesline and Ted dropkicks his knee. Cody comes in and they double team Henry before he double clotheslines them to the mat. Henry slings Cody into the opposite corner. He tags in MVP who runs into Cody's boots. Cody goes to work on MVP. Ted is tagged in and stops a MVP suplex. They double team MVP and Ted hits a leg sweep for a 1 count. Orton is tagged in and they keep MVP in their corner. Orton distracts the ref while Legacy tries to double team MVP. Orton with more stomps in the corner. Ted is tagged back in. He drops an elbow and kicks MVP in the head for a 2 count. Another tag to Cody this time.

Cody continues to work over MVP. MVP fights out of it but gets hit by a big dropkick. 2 count by Cody. Orton is tagged back in. He starts stomping on MVP and hits a dropkick for a 2 count. MVP fights out of the corner on all of Legacy but Orton drops him to the mat again. Orton goes for a big knee drop and MVP moves. Orton hits it this time and gets another 2 count. Orton with a headlock. They go back and forth until MVP hits a big clothesline. Kofi is almost tagged in when Orton knocks him off the apron. Ted comes in and they continue to work on MVP. MVP hits an overhead toss on Ted and tags in Mark Henry as Cody comes in. Henry takes Ted and Cody out. He nails a big splash in the corner on Cody. Henry goes for a big slam when Orton breaks it up. Orton goes for an RKO but Kofi stops it with a dropkick. Cody goes to the top and tries for a crossbody on Henry. Henry catches him in mid-air and hits the World's Strongest Slam for the pinfall and the win.

- Before we go to commercial, Lawler plugs a segment called "RAW's Got Talent" which will be hosted by Ozzy and Sharon when we come back.

- Back from commercial and Jerry Lawler is in the ring. Ozzy and Sharon are sitting at a table. Lawler says this is going to be Ozzy and Sharon's "RAW's Got Talent" show. Lawler brings out Ozzy and Sharon's third judge, The Great Khali. Out comes Khali, in a suit, with Runjin Singh. Khali takes a seat and says something. Lawler interprets for Khali and says he has a huge crush on Kelly Osbourne. Sharon says they would love Khali as a son-in-law. Lawler introduces the first contestant, Santino Marella. Santino will be singing Ozzy's hit "Bark at the Moon." Santino stumbles out to the stage dressed like a bad looking rock star. Santino says he's not singing this song because he's not a dog. Santino says he's going to bite the head off a bit, like Ozzy infamously did. Santino pulls out a Batman action figure and bits the head off it. Sharon calls it rubbish and Santino loses.

Lawler introduces Chris Masters next, who will be doing an art performance done to Crazy Train. Masters comes out. Crazy Train starts playing and Masters starts flexing his pecs to the music. Sharon and Ozzy seem to like it. They give him the loser sound on the buzzer. Ozzy tells him to buy a bra but Sharon says he's gorgeous. Ranjin says Khali found it oddly mesmerizing. Lawler introduces next, Chavo Guerrero and Jillian Hall. Apparently they will be singing a duet. Jillian comes out and says she's such a big fan. They're going to do Close My Eyes Forever, by Ozzy and Lita Ford. Jillian starts singing and everyone, including Ozzy and Sharon hate it. Chavo isn't much better. Ozzy says he's going to rename the song Close My Ears Forever. Jillian says they don't know talent, Sharon has always been jealous of Lita Ford and she's not even an Ozzy fan. Sharon tells her to get down to the ring. Chavo and Jillian come down talking junk. Jillian starts singing Britney Spears in Sharon's face. Sharon stands up and clubs her in the side of the head. Chavo tells Ozzy to control his wife. Ozzy says he can't control her and tells Chavo to. Chavo says maybe he will. He gets in Sharon's face and they talk trash. Khali stands up and decks Chavo, knocking him to the mat. The music hits and out comes Hornswoggle, dressed like Jack Osbourne. It's Jackswoggle. He nails the tadpole splash on Chavo and celebrates with Ozzy and Sharon. Crazy Train plays again as they all celebrate in the ring.

- We see Kelly Kelly, The Bella Twins, Gail Kim and Eve Torres in the back. Cole hypes a Divas Battle Royal to determine a new #1 contender as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and it's Eve, Gail Kim, Alicia Fox, Kelly Kelly, The Bella Twins in the ring. The bell rings and they all go at it. Kelly tries to eliminate Alicia and Gail goes at it with one of the Bellas. Gail with a neckbreaker. The other Bella saves her sister. We see Melina in the back watching on a big screen. Kelly and Gail try to dump one of the Bellas but Gail gets eliminated. Kelly and Gail look at each other confused. Jack Swagger starts walking down as Eve clotheslines Alicia.

Eve clotheslines Kelly, Alicia and the Bellas. She eliminates both Bella Twins. Alicia eliminates Eve through the ropes. Swagger looks at Eve and shakes his head. Kelly picks Alicia up on her shoulders and tries to eliminate her but she hangs on. Kelly hits her springboard elbow in the corner but Alicia dumps her over the top rope out of nowhere for the win.

Winner and New #1 Contender to the Divas Title: Alicia Fox

- We go to ringside with Cole and Lawler. They talk about Sheamus' attack on Jamie Noble earlier and show a replay. They say Noble isn't doing good and wish him the best. We go to more replays from the night and plug the Triple Threat main event for tonight. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break. Cole and Lawler talk about the situation on SmackDown between Rey Mysterio and Batista. We cut to a video package from SmackDown.

- Back from the break and Ozzy and Sharon are talking backstage. Chris Jericho walks in and says they have been making a mockery of RAW like every other host has and have shown him no respect. He says he has talent and he is the best in the world at what he does. Jericho says when he was growing up, Ozzy was his hero. Jericho rips on the fans and says he's better than Ozzy. Sharon and Ozzy disagree. He says if they ever disrespect him again, that will be the ultimate sin. Jericho walks off and Ozzy asks who that joke was.

- We cut to DX backstage talking about meeting with their lawyers. The camera pans out and Hornswoggle, dressed as Jack Osbourne, is hanging on a hook on the wall. They want him to stop the gimmick infringement. HBK says if he does it again, he's in big trouble. John Cena walks up and takes Hornswoggle off the hook. Cena says Hornswoggle is the reason they're all fighting at Survivor Series. Hornswoggle makes some noise and walks off. Triple H says he's not sweating Survivor Series too much because he beat Cena a few weeks ago. HBK talks about being in England next week and reminds Cena about their match last year in England. Cena says we beat each other all the time and looks over at the Bella Twins. They walk off and Cena says that didn't come out right. HBK says DX has a mathematical probability of walking out of Survivor Series with the WWE Title. Cena reminds them they can beat up on each other in the match also. Cena says while they have 2 words for everybody, he has 4... the Champ is here. Cena does a cheesy grin and walks off stage. DX try to stretch the comedy again and we go to another break.

- Back from the break and DX is joining Cole and Lawler at ringside for commentary.

John Cena vs. Chris Jericho vs. Big Show

As DX takes a seat at ringside, the WWE Champion John Cena makes his way to the ring for tonight's Triple Threat main event. Out next is one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Chris Jericho followed by his partner Big Show. As Show finishes his entrance, we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Show is working Cena over on the floor. Cena counters him and goes back in the ring against Jericho. Cena with a suplex on Jericho and a 2 count. Show trips Cena as he runs the ropes and pulls him out to the floor. Show works Cena over and tosses him into the fan barrier. Show throws him in the ring and Jericho gets a 2 count on him. Jericho and Show exchange words before beating down Cena some more. Show with a big suplex on Cena.

Cena fights back on Show and Jericho but gets knocked out of the air by Big Show. Jericho with right hands on Cena. Jericho holds Cena while Show hits him with a big chop. Show and Jericho continue to dominate Cena. Jericho with a backdrop on Cena. "Vintage DX" on commentary tonight. They launch Cena into the opposite corner and he goes down.

Show charges Cena in the corner but he moves out of the way. Cena hip tosses Jericho and hits the running bulldog. Show comes back and spears Cena. Jericho hits the Lionsault and goes for a pin but Show breaks the pin. Show and Jericho have words. Jericho shoves him and slaps him. Show tosses Jericho over the top rope and goes for a knockout punch on Cena. Cena ducks it and fights back. Show goes for a chokeslam but Cena slides out of it. Cena goes for the Attitude Adjustment but Show falls on top of him. Show climbs to the second rope for the Vader Bomb. Cena rolls out of the way. Show runs into a boot of Cena in the corner, and another. Cena knocks Show through the ropes with a shoulder. Jericho comes in and Cena hits his usual set of moves. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle on Jericho and goes for an Attitude Adjustment. As he picks Jericho up, Show is on the apron and hits Cena with the knockout punch. Jericho takes advantage and gets the pinfall and the win.

Winner: Chris Jericho

After the match, Jericho locks on the Walls of Jericho while Show applies the clutch at the same time. DX rush the ring but Show takes HBK out with the knockout punch. Triple H tries to fight back but Jericho drops him with the Codebreaker. Big Show and Jericho celebrate in the ring while DX and Cena are laid out. We go to replays. RAW goes off the air with the Tag Team Champions on the ramp as DX and Cena try to recover in the ring.

Big Show with Chris Jericho and the Bragging Rights Trophy versus Triple H with Shawn Michaels

Hunter wants the mic before Show does anything. Hunter says that he had a meeting with Kyle and Joey and this is a lumberjack match and the lumberjacks are the members of Raw that Show screwed over. Jericho leaves through the crowd with his trophy of awesome.

Shawn has something to say. He tells Hunter that he forgot that not only is it a lumberjack match, it is a no disqualification lumberjack match. Shawn says that they have a guest referee for the match and it is John Cena.

Show charges at Hunter but Hunter moves and Show goes to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Hunter punches Show. Show with an Irish whip but Hutner with a boot and a sleeper. We see footage of Show fighting back during the commercial on the floor with the lumberjacks. Back to live action and Show with a snap mare to escape. Show misses a charge into the corner and Hunter tries for a slam but he cannot keep Show up and Hunter kicks out at two. Show with an Irish whip but Hunter with a kick but Show responds with a spear. Show stands on Hunter while talking to Shawn Michaels. Show with a chop to Hunter. Hunter punches Show but Show with a side slam. Show works on the neck with a nerve hold. Show with head butts to Hunter. Hunter tries to bounce back up and he gives Show a crotch chop. Show with more head butts and a slam. Masters grabs Show by the leg and Show brings Masters into the ring and hits a clothesline followed by a punch to the temple.

This allows Hunter to recover and he punches Show and hits the face buster. Hunter with body blocks but Show stays on his feet. Show grabs Hunter by the throat but Hunter counters a choke slam with a DDT but Show kicks out. Show misses a charge into the corner and Hunter sets for the Pedigree but Show with a back body drop. Show with a Vader Splash but Cena stops his count at two. Show yells at Cena. Primo and Chavo with a double drop kick and then Swagger with a running clothesline into the corner. MIz with a clothesline of his own. Henry with a splash into the corner and Porter with a running boot to the head. Bourne with a shooting star press. Santino waits for Show to get up and Show choke slams Santino. Kofi with Trouble in Paradise and Show is woozy. Cena with an Attitude Adjustment. Hunter gets a blue shirt and he puts it on Show and Shawn with Sweet Chin Music and Hunter with a pedigree for the three count.
Winner: Raw

After the match, Kyle and Joey come out and they have agreed on the number one contender for the WWE Title. It was hard to agree and Hornswoggle comes out with Joey and Kyle. John Cena will face Shawn Michaels and Triple H. All three men are in the ring and they look at each other a little differently than a few seconds ago.

The Miz vs. Evan Bourne Monday Night Raw 10/26/09

They lock up and Miz with a knee and kick to Bourne. Miz trips Bourne and gets a near fall. Miz with a kick to Bourne but Bourne kicks back. Miz chokes Bourne against the ropes. Miz with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Miz works on the back with a modified camel clutch. Bourne with a back body drop but Miz tries to turn it into a sunset flip but Bourne rolls through. Bourne with kicks to the leg and a head scissors take down and a clothesline for a near fall. Miz runs Bourne into the turnbuckles and connects with forearms. Miz with a knee to the head and Jack Swagger comes to the ring.

Miz sends Bourne into the turnbuckles while Swagger gets on the mic and says that nobody is watching his match. Swagger says that everyone is watching Eve. He says that Eve is watching her. Miz with a clothesline into the corner to interrupt Swagger’s comments. Miz and Swagger stare each other down while the referee loudly makes the count. Bourne with a pescado onto Swagger and Miz. Bourne rolls back in and the ref makes the ten count.

Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase versus Montel Vontavious Porter and Mark Henry Monday Night Raw 10/26/09

We join the match in progress and DiBiase with a near fall on Porter. Rhodes tags in and they double team Porter. Rhodes with elbows to the head. Rhodes punches Porter and snap mares him and puts Porter in an arm bar with a cross face.

We see Kyle and Joey enjoying the match from their office.

Porter with a short arm clothesline and Henry tags in and he clotheslines Rhodes and hits a back elbow followed by a head butt. Henry with a vertical choke and Porter distracts the referee long enough for DiBiase to clip Henry and Rhodes gets a near fall. DiBiase tags in and he kicks Henry and hits double sledges. DiBiase is tagged back in after Rhodes gets in a few kicks. DiBiase chokes Henry and he tags in Cody they double team Henry and Rhodes with a front face lock but he cannot stop Henry from making his way across the ring. Porter punches Rhodes but the referee does not see a double drop kick on Henry and Cody gets a near fall. Rhodes with a front face lock. Henry with a back body drop and Porter and DiBiase tag in. Porter with an overhead belly-to-belly throw followed by a back elbow and a face buster. Time for the Ballin Elbow and it connects but Rhodes breaks up the cover. Henry takes Rhodes down. Porter with a sunset flip thanks to help from Henry and Porter gets the three count.
Winners: Mark Henry and Montel Vontavious Porter

After the match, Rhodes and DiBiase protest their loss.

Randy Orton’s music plays
and he comes out to the ring. Randy finally gets to the ring and he has something to say. Apparently the guest hosts are trying to find the next opponent for John Cena. Randy says that it officially looks like Cena’s next opponent will not be him. Randy says that he understands the terms of his match last night because he is a former champion. He is entitled to a rematch and he is willing to take it all the way to the board of directors.

Kofi Kingston appears on the TitanTron and he tells Randy that he lost and nobody cares what he has to say. Randy tells Kofi to come to say it to his face. Kofi says that he is already doing it and we see Kofi standing on the Vipermobile. Randy tells Kofi not to touch Orton’s car or he will make Kofi’s life a living hell. Kofi likes how durable NASCAR cars are. He sends a case into the door and there isn’t a scratch. Kofi takes some keys and he decides to key Orton’s car. Kofi tries to get a bug off the hood but he keeps missing it. Now it is on the window. Kofi says that he will fix this and he puts some orange paint on the hood. Kofi says that he doesn’t think Orton has ever looked better.

We go to commercial.

We are back and there are members of the Buffalo Bills in the crowd and they finally hit something.

The men start off and Chavo slaps Santino in slow motion but Santino with a belly laugh and a punch. Santino with a back body drop and back elbow. Santino with a diving salute head butt that misses. Chavo with kicks and then he sends Santino into the turnbuckles. Jillian kicks Santino in the back while Chavo spends some quality time with the referee. Chavo with a Latino uppercut for a near fall. Chavo punches and kicks Santino. Santino with a cartwheel and split to avoid Chavo followed by a hip toss and punches. Jillian makes the tag and she slaps Santino. Melina with forearms to Jillian and a short arm clothesline. Hornswoggle comes out and he crotch chops for the fans. Melina with a rollup but in the ropes. Melina with the Banshee Shriek of Doom Leg Drop for the three count.
Winners: Santino Marella and Melina
After the match, Hornswoggle comes into the ring and crotch chops for the fans. Hornswoggle is handed an envelope and it is a cease and desist order. He shows it to Lawler and Lawler explains it to Hornswoggle. Hornswoggle is dejected.

We are back with the Slam of the Week: Photos of the 59 Minute 55 Second One Hour Iron Man Match.
John Cena is introduced, but Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes come out. Cody says that the champ IS not here. Cody says that it would be a perfect time to parade out here to talk about his ‘epic’ victory. John Cena will have to wait because The Legacy is here. Ted says that just because Randy cannot fight John Cena for the title, that is why they are bringing back the WWE Championship to the Legacy where it belongs. Ted tells Cena that they didn’t ask the guest hosts for permission because they don’t have to. They are making a challenge to Cena and tells him to man up and accept it. Ted challenges Cena to face one of them or both of them in an Epsenhart Special match.

John Cena comes out and he has something to say. John tells Ted and Cody that he doesn’t have to brag about what happened last night. Last night was exactly what it needed to be. It was the best competing in one final showdown. When that clock stuck zero, both of them were exhausted. Cena says that he did it for each other, they did it for the title belt, and they did it for the fans. They did it because they knew the John Cena/Randy Orton rivalry needed to end and it did. Now we are on Raw to find out who the next challenger will be and then he seems bummed out in his hard sell to be in the ring with Randy Orton’s legacy.

Cody says that they are not Randy and Cena agrees with him. Cena says that neither of them are Randy Orton but it is close enough. Cena says that he is going to hit Ted and Cody with the truth. Cena says that he won last night and has the right to say ‘no more’. Ted and Cody come out and can make all the empty challenges they want about bringing the title back to Legacy, but if they want a shot at the title, they need to earn it. John says that they haven’t earned it yet. Cena says that he was in the back with Joey and Kyle about Ted and Cody having a match tonight and it will happen now.

We are back and Jericho catapults Kofi’s throat into the rope and then he puts Kofi in a chin lock. We see footage during the commercial when Jericho sent Kofi into the ring post. Jericho slaps Kofi in the head but Kofi punches back. Jericho with an Irish whip but Kofi blocks the bulldog attempt and sends Jericho into the turnbuckles. We are back and Randy Orton is walking in the back and Josh Mathews wants to know why he attacked Kofi. Randy says that Kofi had no right to interfere in his match. Orton blames Kofi for the loss. Randy says that he has only just BEGUN on Kofi Kingston. Cody stops by and tells Josh to leave. Ted is with him. Cody and Ted agree that Randy was robbed last night. They have a gift for Randy as a token of their gratitude. It is a Randy Orton race car
. Orton looks at the hood of the car and he says that it is incredible. Orton asks if they bought it for him. Ted says that he knows they have had issues recently, but Randy is their leader. Cody and Ted say that they have another surprise for John Cena and say that the title will be coming back to Legacy.

Eve is with Joey and Kyle and they talk about the race in Texas. Jack Swagger enters and he is impressed. Jack says that he is WWE’s finest talking to NASCAR’s finest. They are proven winners who have no problem talking about how good they are. Jack says that he wants to face John Cena for the WWE Title. Kyle doesn’t know if they can put Cena in a match since he wrestled for an hour last night. Joey says that they will be picking Cena’s next opponent tonight. Jack introduces himself to Eve and says that he will be the future WWE Champion. Miz enters and he is impressed that Jack thinks he is going to be the WWE Champion. Miz says that he is the only one who won last night from Raw so he deserves his title match. Eve apologizes for Miz.

Santino and Melina are walking in the back and the flashes are going crazy. We go to commercial.

We are back with a Sheamus video package and he debuts on Raw tonight.

Cole says that he is excited to see Sheamus debut as a big free agent signing.

WWE Monday Night Raw Results 10/26/09

We start off with a look back at the final match for Bragging Rights and Team Smackdown showed that if everyone wears the same shirt they are going to win. What will Raw do now that Big Show turned his back on his brand?

The Unified Tag Team Champions come out and Chris Jericho has his big trophy with him. Cole talks about the party that Smackdown had after their victory and he says that it was huge.

Show says that whatever happened last night, he is still a proud member of the Raw roster. Show says that everything he did was . . . Jericho stops him and says that Show does not have to explain himself. Jericho says that the loyalty to the tag team is greater than his loyalty to Raw. Show says that he needs to tell Jericho something. Jericho thanks Show for stopping the tyranny of DX. There is no jocularity or hocking of cheap merchandise because Show stood up for himself and he punched Triple H in his face to earn Smackdown bragging rights and he gives Show kudos. Jericho stops Show again and says that they would have won because Jericho was the captain, mastermind and genius who put everything together. Show tells Jericho that what he did was for himself. There is one thing that is more important than the show or the tag team. Show says that his career is bigger. Show says that he struck a deal with Teddy Long. Show says that he is the next opponent for the Undertaker’s World Title. Jericho wants to know what about him and if he approved it with him.

Show and Jericho are interrupted by Kyle Busch and Joey Lagano buring donuts in the parking lot and then they drive into the arena.

Logano and Busch come to the ring with permanent arm candy for the guest hosts, the Bellas. Busch says that is how you make an entrance. He says that they are huge WWE fans and are proud to be hosts tonight. Busch says that what Big Show did last night is not popular with the fans, but Kyle says that he is with Show on this. He says that things happen for a reason and he congratulates Show. Logano refuses to shake Show’s hand and he says that it was weak to leave his team like that. Show tells Kyle to teach his little friend about respect. Kyle says that Joey is young and dumb and doesn’t know much about championships. Kyle says that they are here to win a championship. Kyle points out that they are in Buffalo, a town that hasn’t made it to the playoffs since Hulkamania. Kyle points out that they have brought in TO and that hasn’t worked. Kyle says that they will soon be singing O Canada. Logano says that Show will be facing Triple H tonight. Jericho tells Show that is pretty tough. Jericho asks Joey and Kyle if they have ever seen a trophy like that or won something like that. Jericho wants to go to the office to talk about that. Kyle says that he has seen 58 of them and he can make matches too. Jericho will be wrestling in a match against Kofi Kingston.

Jericho turns around into Trouble in Paradise and Kofi ges the three count.

After the match, Randy Orton attacks Kofi on the ramp and sends Kofi to the floor. Orton stares at Kofi on the floor while referees come out to protect Kofi.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Randy Orton is walking in the back and Josh Mathews wants to know why he attacked Kofi. Randy says that Kofi had no right to interfere in his match. Orton blames Kofi for the loss. Randy says that he has only just BEGUN on Kofi Kingston. Cody stops by and tells Josh to leave. Ted is with him. Cody and Ted agree that Randy was robbed last night. They have a gift for Randy as a token of their gratitude. It is a Randy Orton race car. Orton looks at the hood of the car and he says that it is incredible. Orton asks if they bought it for him. Ted says that he knows they have had issues recently, but Randy is their leader. Cody and Ted say that they have another surprise for John Cena and say that the title will be coming back to Legacy.

Eve is with Joey and Kyle and they talk about the race in Texas. Jack Swagger enters and he is impressed. Jack says that he is WWE’s finest talking to NASCAR’s finest. They are proven winners who have no problem talking about how good they are. Jack says that he wants to face John Cena for the WWE Title. Kyle doesn’t know if they can put Cena in a match since he wrestled for an hour last night. Joey says that they will be picking Cena’s next opponent tonight. Jack introduces himself to Eve and says that he will be the future WWE Champion. Miz enters and he is impressed that Jack thinks he is going to be the WWE Champion. Miz says that he is the only one who won last night from Raw so he deserves his title match. Eve apologizes for Miz.

Santino and Melina are walking in the back and the flashes are going crazy. We go to commercial.

We are back with a Sheamus video package and he debuts on Raw tonight.

Cole says that he is excited to see Sheamus debut as a big free agent signing.

Match Number Two: Melina and Santino Marella versus Chavo Guerrero and Jillian Hall

The men start off and Chavo slaps Santino in slow motion but Santino with a belly laugh and a punch. Santino with a back body drop and back elbow. Santino with a diving salute head butt that misses. Chavo with kicks and then he sends Santino into the turnbuckles. Jillian kicks Santino in the back while Chavo spends some quality time with the referee. Chavo with a Latino uppercut for a near fall. Chavo punches and kicks Santino. Santino with a cartwheel and split to avoid Chavo followed by a hip toss and punches. Jillian makes the tag and she slaps Santino. Melina with forearms to Jillian and a short arm clothesline. Hornswoggle comes out and he crotch chops for the fans. Melina with a rollup but in the ropes. Melina with the Banshee Shriek of Doom Leg Drop for the three count.

After the match, Hornswoggle comes into the ring and crotch chops for the fans. Hornswoggle is handed an envelope and it is a cease and desist order. He shows it to Lawler and Lawler explains it to Hornswoggle. Hornswoggle is dejected.

John Cena walks in the back as we go to commercial.

We are back with the Slam of the Week: Photos of the 59 Minute 55 Second One Hour Iron Man Match.

John Cena is introduced, but Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes come out. Cody says that the champ IS not here. Cody says that it would be a perfect time to parade out here to talk about his ‘epic’ victory. John Cena will have to wait because The Legacy is here. Ted says that just because Randy cannot fight John Cena for the title, that is why they are bringing back the WWE Championship to the Legacy where it belongs. Ted tells Cena that they didn’t ask the guest hosts for permission because they don’t have to. They are making a challenge to Cena and tells him to man up and accept it. Ted challenges Cena to face one of them or both of them in an Epsenhart Special match.

John Cena comes out and he has something to say. John tells Ted and Cody that he doesn’t have to brag about what happened last night. Last night was exactly what it needed to be. It was the best competing in one final showdown. When that clock stuck zero, both of them were exhausted. Cena says that he did it for each other, they did it for the title belt, and they did it for the fans. They did it because they knew the John Cena/Randy Orton rivalry needed to end and it did. Now we are on Raw to find out who the next challenger will be and then he seems bummed out in his hard sell to be in the ring with Randy Orton’s legacy.

Cody says that they are not Randy and Cena agrees with him. Cena says that neither of them are Randy Orton but it is close enough. Cena says that he is going to hit Ted and Cody with the truth. Cena says that he won last night and has the right to say ‘no more’. Ted and Cody come out and can make all the empty challenges they want about bringing the title back to Legacy, but if they want a shot at the title, they need to earn it. John says that they haven’t earned it yet. Cena says that he was in the back with Joey and Kyle about Ted and Cody having a match tonight and it will happen now.

Match Number Three: Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase versus Montel Vontavious Porter and Mark Henry

We join the match in progress and DiBiase with a near fall on Porter. Rhodes tags in and they double team Porter. Rhodes with elbows to the head. Rhodes punches Porter and snap mares him and puts Porter in an arm bar with a cross face.

We see Kyle and Joey enjoying the match from their office.

Porter with a short arm clothesline and Henry tags in and he clotheslines Rhodes and hits a back elbow followed by a head butt. Henry with a vertical choke and Porter distracts the referee long enough for DiBiase to clip Henry and Rhodes gets a near fall. DiBiase tags in and he kicks Henry and hits double sledges. DiBiase is tagged back in after Rhodes gets in a few kicks. DiBiase chokes Henry and he tags in Cody they double team Henry and Rhodes with a front face lock but he cannot stop Henry from making his way across the ring. Porter punches Rhodes but the referee does not see a double drop kick on Henry and Cody gets a near fall. Rhodes with a front face lock. Henry with a back body drop and Porter and DiBiase tag in. Porter with an overhead belly-to-belly throw followed by a back elbow and a face buster. Time for the Ballin Elbow and it connects but Rhodes breaks up the cover. Henry takes Rhodes down. Porter with a sunset flip thanks to help from Henry and Porter gets the three count.

After the match, Rhodes and DiBiase protest their loss.

Randy Orton’s music plays and he comes out to the ring. Randy finally gets to the ring and he has something to say. Apparently the guest hosts are trying to find the next opponent for John Cena. Randy says that it officially looks like Cena’s next opponent will not be him. Randy says that he understands the terms of his match last night because he is a former champion. He is entitled to a rematch and he is willing to take it all the way to the board of directors.

Kofi Kingston appears on the TitanTron and he tells Randy that he lost and nobody cares what he has to say. Randy tells Kofi to come to say it to his face. Kofi says that he is already doing it and we see Kofi standing on the Vipermobile. Randy tells Kofi not to touch Orton’s car or he will make Kofi’s life a living hell. Kofi likes how durable NASCAR cars are. He sends a case into the door and there isn’t a scratch. Kofi takes some keys and he decides to key Orton’s car. Kofi tries to get a bug off the hood but he keeps missing it. Now it is on the window. Kofi says that he will fix this and he puts some orange paint on the hood. Kofi says that he doesn’t think Orton has ever looked better.

We go to commercial.

We are back and there are members of the Buffalo Bills in the crowd and they finally hit something.

Match Number Four: Evan Bourne versus The Miz

They lock up and Miz with a knee and kick to Bourne. Miz trips Bourne and gets a near fall. Miz with a kick to Bourne but Bourne kicks back. Miz chokes Bourne against the ropes. Miz with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Miz works on the back with a modified camel clutch. Bourne with a back body drop but Miz tries to turn it into a sunset flip but Bourne rolls through. Bourne with kicks to the leg and a head scissors take down and a clothesline for a near fall. Miz runs Bourne into the turnbuckles and connects with forearms. Miz with a knee to the head and Jack Swagger comes to the ring.

Miz sends Bourne into the turnbuckles while Swagger gets on the mic and says that nobody is watching his match. Swagger says that everyone is watching Eve. He says that Eve is watching her. Miz with a clothesline into the corner to interrupt Swagger’s comments. Miz and Swagger stare each other down while the referee loudly makes the count. Bourne with a pescado onto Swagger and Miz. Bourne rolls back in and the ref makes the ten count.

Match Number Five: Jamie Noble versus Sheamus

Noble with a kick to the leg but Sheamus with a shoulder tackle that sends Noble to the floor. Sheamus sends Noble into the ring steps and then brings Noble back into the ring. Sheamus with elbow drops and gets a near fall. Sheamus with a back breaker but Noble with elbows to the head and more kicks to the leg. Sheamus sends Noble into the turnbuckles. Sheamus misses a charge and Noble tries for a rollup but Sheamus does not go down. Sheamus with knees in the corner followed by an elbow and knee drop. Sheamus with back breakers followed by a bicycle kick for the three count.

We are back with the WWE Rewind: Big Show punching Triple H at Bragging Rights.

Cole and Lawler talk about the World Title match and he mentions Batista and Rey’s issues as well as the other things that happened at the pay per view.

Match Number Six: Big Show with Chris Jericho and the Bragging Rights Trophy versus Triple H with Shawn Michaels

Hunter wants the mic before Show does anything. Hunter says that he had a meeting with Kyle and Joey and this is a lumberjack match and the lumberjacks are the members of Raw that Show screwed over. Jericho leaves through the crowd with his trophy of awesome.

Shawn has something to say. He tells Hunter that he forgot that not only is it a lumberjack match, it is a no disqualification lumberjack match. Shawn says that they have a guest referee for the match and it is John Cena.

Show charges at Hunter but Hunter moves and Show goes to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Hunter punches Show. Show with an Irish whip but Hutner with a boot and a sleeper. We see footage of Show fighting back during the commercial on the floor with the lumberjacks. Back to live action and Show with a snap mare to escape. Show misses a charge into the corner and Hunter tries for a slam but he cannot keep Show up and Hunter kicks out at two. Show with an Irish whip but Hunter with a kick but Show responds with a spear. Show stands on Hunter while talking to Shawn Michaels. Show with a chop to Hunter. Hunter punches Show but Show with a side slam. Show works on the neck with a nerve hold. Show with head butts to Hunter. Hunter tries to bounce back up and he gives Show a crotch chop. Show with more head butts and a slam. Masters grabs Show by the leg and Show brings Masters into the ring and hits a clothesline followed by a punch to the temple.

This allows Hunter to recover and he punches Show and hits the face buster. Hunter with body blocks but Show stays on his feet. Show grabs Hunter by the throat but Hunter counters a choke slam with a DDT but Show kicks out. Show misses a charge into the corner and Hunter sets for the Pedigree but Show with a back body drop. Show with a Vader Splash but Cena stops his count at two. Show yells at Cena. Primo and Chavo with a double drop kick and then Swagger with a running clothesline into the corner. MIz with a clothesline of his own. Henry with a splash into the corner and Porter with a running boot to the head. Bourne with a shooting star press. Santino waits for Show to get up and Show choke slams Santino. Kofi with Trouble in Paradise and Show is woozy. Cena with an Attitude Adjustment. Hunter gets a blue shirt and he puts it on Show and Shawn with Sweet Chin Music and Hunter with a pedigree for the three count.

Randy Orton versus John Cena in an Iron Man Match (If John Cena loses, he is gone from Raw)

They lock up and Cena works on the arm and has a side head lock take down. Orton backs Cena into the corner. Orton with an elbow and punch in the corner. Orton with a side head lock (#1) on Cena. Cena with a hip toss but Orton with a hard Irish whip and Orton with a knee to the head. Orton favors his back before connecting with a European uppercut. Cena with an Irish whip but Orton avoids the bulldog. Orton with a forearm to Cena. Orton kicks Cena as he reenters the ring. Orton with punches to Cena and then he stands over Cena. Cena puts Orton in the STF and Orton taps immediately.

Cena 1 Orton 0

Orton with a power slam followed by a leaping knee drop as Orton enters Viper Mode. Orton chokes Cena in the ropes and then he kicks Cena and stomps on his chest. Orton with a suplex into the ring for a near fall. Orton goes for a side head lock (#2) after a few forearms across the chest. Cena falls to his feet due to the pressure that Orton has applied in the side head lock. Cena gets out of the hold and Cena with a kick and leap frog neck breaker. Cena goes up top for the Rocker Dropper and he hits it. Cena looks around and sees Orton down on the mat. Instead of making the cover, Cena tries for the five knuckle shuffle and Cena walks into an RKO for the three count.

Cena 1: Orton 1

We are ten minutes into the match and Orton knocks Cena off the apron into the ringside barrier. Orton sends Cena’s head into the ring steps. Orton with a front face lock and Orton sends Cena into the apron. Orton rearranges the announce table and he knocks Lawler’s crown off the table. Orton grabs the monitor and hits Cena in the head with it. Cena kicks out at two. Orton rolls Cena back into the ring and Orton gets the mic and he hits Cena in the head with it and then he can only get a two count. Orton says something to Cena and then he punches Cena and we have blood but the referee has the medical official at ringside check it out. The clock has stopped. Cena goes after Orton and he punches Orton. Cena sends Orton over the top rope to the floor. Cena sends Orton into the ring steps but Orton Irish whips Cena into the ring steps. Orton gets a two count on the floor. Orton stomps on Cena’s head which was placed on top of the ring steps. Cena kicks out one more time at two. Orton rolls Cena back into the ring. Orton punches Cena as he tries to work on the cut on Cena’s head.

We are now fifteen minutes into the match and Orton continues to punch Cena. Orton with RKO push ups and Cena avoids the RKO. Cena with the two shoulder tackles followed by the Blue Thunder Bomb and then it is time for the Five Knuckle Shuffle one more time. This time he hits it. Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment but Orton counters with an RKO and each man gets a fall.

Orton 2: Cena 2

Orton misses a charge into the corner. Cena puts Orton on the top turnbuckle and he tries for a super Attitude Adjustment and he hits it. Cena gets the three count.

Cena 3: Orton 2

During the break, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase attack John Cena. DiBiase hits Dream Street and Rhodes and DiBiase roll Orton on top of Cena and the referee makes the three count.

Orton 3: Cena 3

Kofi Kingston comes out during the break and he has a chair and he chases Rhodes and DiBiase to the back.

Orton goes to the apron and Orton is holding his throat. Cena with a double leg take down and Cena punches Orton and Orton goes to the floor to avoid Cena. They fight to the ramp and Cena sends Orton into the barrier. Cena punches Orton and Orton goes down. Orton sends Cena’s head into the barrier. Orton with a kick to the head as they are by the stage. Orton gets a near fall. Orton with a front face lock and then he sends Cena’s head into a case for the equipment. Cena’s head is slammed into the pyro machine and it goes off. Orton sends Cena through the set and there are more explosions. Orton gets a three count.

Orton 4: Cena 3

Orton goes back to the pyro machine and he sets some more off. Orton gets a chair as the battle moves to the stage. Orton hits Cena in the back of the head and he puts Cena on the pyro. They try to stop Orton and the pyro guy has his hand on the switch and the pyro doesn’t work. Orton sets off all of the pyro on the stage. Orton is not a happy camper but he punches Cena in the head. Orton mounts Cena and punches him on the ramp. Orton with more punches to the head. Orton Irish whips Cena into the ring steps one more time.

We are now in the second half of the match as we hit the thirty minute mark. Orton throws the ring steps and they hit Cena in the head but Cena kicks out. Orton kicks Cena in the ribs and then he stomps on Cena’s chest. Orton grabs another chair and he hits Cena’s back as well as the ring post. Cena kicks out of the cover on the floor. They return to the ring. Cena is down on the mat and Orton slowly picks him up but Cena with an inside cradle for a three count.

Orton 4: Cena 4

Orton punches Cena during the break.

Orton has a thought going through his head and he stares at Cena and sets for an IEDDT onto the floor and he hits it. Orton gets the three count.

Orton 5: Cena 4

Orton tries for another cover since Cena is barely moving but Cena finds the power to kick out. Orton kicks Cena and does the Garvin Stomp. Orton with forearms across the chest followed by a leaping knee drop for a near fall. Orton with a punch to Cena and Cena goes down one more time. Orton with another near fall. Cena makes his way back to his feet and Orton with another punch and Cena goes down and gets another near fall. Orton falls victim to a Cena punch and Orton leaves the ring and goes up the ramp.

We are two-thirds through the match.

Cena meets Orton on the ramp and Orton with punches and kicks. Orton looks at the TitanTron and the scaffolding on the set. Cena with a punch to Orotn and Orton returns to the ring. Cena summons the strength to return to the ring. Orton punches Cena as Cena returns to the ring. Orton punches Cena as he tries to work on the earlier cut that Cena suffered. Orton stares into Cena’s eyes and Cena goes to the apron. Orton sets for another IEDDT in the ring but Cena gets through the ropes and has Orton up for Attitude Adjustment. Orton leaves the ring and goes into the crowd. Cena goes after Orton. Orton is going for some concessions or maybe a bathroom break as they fight to the top of the lower concourse. Orton goes down after being hit by a trash can. Cena sends Orton into the wall and then he kicks Orton. Orton goes down the steps and Cena follows after him.

We are into the final quarter of the match.

Cena sends Orton back into the ringside area and he gets a near fall. Cena slams Orton’s head into the ring steps but Orton kicks out. Cena sends Orton into the ringside barrier and Orton holds his arm. Cena sends Orton into the ringside barrier one more time to work on the shoulder. Cena sends Orton through the wall for the ring bell pit and Orton is down.

Cena hits Orton in the head with the ring steps and Cena holds the steps over his head like he won the Bragging Rights Cup. Cena says that he is going to finish him and he puts the second set of steps on top of the one already set by the announce table. Cena picks up Orton and gets him on his shoulders as he moves to the announce table. Cena climbs the steps and he hits the Attitude Adjustment through the table. Cena gets the three count to tie the match.

Orton 5: Cena 5

The break is over and Cena gets another cover but Orton kicks out. Cena gets a table and he brings it into the ring. Cena carries Orton back into the ring. Cena puts Orton onto a table and Cena goes up top. Cena misses the leg drop when Orton moves off the table.

We are into the final five minutes and they exchange punches and the crowd boos and yays for each one. Orton takes control but then Cena does as we are in the final three minutes. Cena with a flying shoulder tackle but the second one takes out the referee. Orton hits an RKO but the referee is out cold. Orton wants another referee to come out but Cena can kick out when the second referee makes his way to the ring. Orton is furious at the referee and he knocks out the referee.

We are down to the final minute and Orton lines up for the field goal but Cena moves. Cena puts Orton in the STF and we are at 55 seconds. We are down to twenty seconds and Orton tries to fight out. Cena taps with five seconds left.

Truth and Cody start things off as they reignite their feud that lasted almost an hour. Cody and Truth exchange punches. Truth with a split to avoid Rhodes and Truth with a leg lariat for a near fall. Rhodes with a punches and rollup into a series of punches. Truth with punches and a kick. Show tags in and then Truth tags in Kane. Show and Kane stand face to face and Kane punches Show. Show with an Irish whip but Show misses a charge into the corner. Kane with a clothesline into the corner but Show with a running shoulder tackle and a leg drop for a near fall. Swagger tags in and he punches Kane. Kane with an uppercut and clothesline to Swagger. Hardy tags in and he connects with a forearm to the back and he slams Swagger in the turnbuckle and hits a clothesline for a near fall.

Hardy tries for a Side Effect but Swagger with elbows and punches. Hardy with punches and Swagger’s shirt comes off. Hardy with boots to Swagger in the corner followed by a silent leg drop from the turnbuckles for a near fall. Swagger goes to the floor and he hits a clothesline. Rhodes distracts Hardy and Swagger attacks Hardy from behind. We have a standoff and the referee sends everyone back to their corners.

Swagger with a divorce court and a near fall. Mark Henry tags in and he punches Hardy. Henry with a series of arm wringers to Hardy followed by a head butt. Henry misses an elbow drop. Henry keeps Hardy from making the tag and then he Irish whips Hardy. Michaels tags in and he chops Hardy. Michaels slams Hardy into the turnbuckles and then he chops him. Hardy with a kick to Michaels and Hardy tries for the Side Effect and he hits it. Finlay is tagged in and he slams Michaels. Michaels with punches to Finlay and Michaels does the Michaels flip. Finlay kicks Michaels in the corner and punches him. Finlay and Michaels collide in the center of the ring and both men are down.

Michaels with sweet chin music to Finlay but Smith made the blind tag and then Hart and Smith hit a springboard Hart Attack. Smith with a slam and Jericho tags in. Jericho throws his shirt at Michaels and they puts Michaels in a reverse chin lock. Michaels punches Jericho and gets a rollup for a near fall. Jericho with a clothesline and a near fall. Jericho with a kick to the ribs and then Kane is tagged back in. Kane with a snap mare and a drop kick to Michaels. Smith tags in and he puts Michaels in a reverse chin lock. Smith with knees to Michaels followed by a Saito suplex for a near fall. Smith with a slam and Kidd tags in but misses a springboard elbow drop. Hunter tags in and he hits a mid level knee on Kidd. Hunter with a face buster to Smith followed by a clothesline. Hunter with a spinebuster to Finlay and Kidd. Kane with a choke slam to Hunter and there is carnage in the ring. Kidd gets a near fall on Hunter.

Jericho tags in and hits a bulldog but he misses the Lionsault. Kofi tags in and he hits a springboard clothesline and a drop kick followed by a leaping clothesline. Kofi with the Boom Boom Leg drop attempt but Jericho trips him and Jericho tries for the Walls of Jericho. Kofi with a rollup for a near fall. Jericho runs into Trouble in Paradise but Smith and Kidd break things up. Henry takes care of Smith and Kidd. Henry is taken down in the ring by Hardy and Truth and then on the floor as well after Henry catches Truth. Finlay with a fireman’s carry slam to Rhodes. Swagger with a Doctor Bomb to Finlay. Kane with a big boot to Swagger but Show with a spear to Kane. Show wants Kofi to go up top and Show with a choke slam to Kofi. Show with a knockout punch to Hunter and then Show leaves the ring. Jericho covers Kofi for the three count.

The bell rings and Punk goes after Rey and leaves the ring. Batista runs after Punk and Taker clotheslines Batista as they re-enter. Punk with forearms to Taker and kicks in the corner. Taker tosses Punk over the top rope to the floor and Rey with a seated senton onto Punk. Batista punches Taker and Taker with a leaping clothesline. Rey kicks Taker in the legs and then hits a springboard drop kick that sends Taker over the top rope to the floor. Taker returns to the ring and hits a big boot on Rey. Taker slams Batista’s head into the turnbuckles and then he works on Batista’s arm. Taker goes up for Old School and hits it. Taker tries to go Old School on Rey but Punk pulls Taker down. Punk throws Rey under the bottom rope to the floor. Punk tries for a superplex but he head butts Punk off the turnbuckles. Punk with a punch and he hits a superplex. Rey with a springboard splash but Punk pulls Rey up and throws Rey under the bottom rope again. Batista punches Punk and hits a clothesline. Batista with a clothesline into the corner followed by a power slam. Batista shakes the ropes and turns around into a big boot. Rey tries for a rana off the turnbuckles and Taker tries for Last Ride but Batista with a spear. Rey and Batista’s eyes meet and they do absolutely nothing until Taker sits up.

Taker grabs Rey but Batista sends Taker into the ropes. Rey with a 619 and Batista with a spinebuster for a near fall but Punk breaks it up. Rey with a forearm to Punk and then Rey tries for a springboard move but Punk hits Go To Sleep but Batista breaks up the cover. Taker puts Batista in Hell’s Gate but Punk breaks up the hold and makes the save. Punk punches Taker and then kicks Batista. Cody Rhodes is in the medical office getting ready. He says that it should be a clean sweep. R Truth enters and says that there are still two matches. Cody reminds Truth that he lost his match to qualify and then they had to get their team replaced. Cody calls Truth second rate and says that is the truth. Truth tells Cody that his daddy is the reason why he is on Raw. Randy Orton is the only reason why he has had any success. Truth tells Cody that he will be pinned tonight. Truth tells him that is the Truth and the Truth hurts.

Big Show comes up behind Truth and says that taking cheap shots shows that he learned a lot from Chris Jericho. Show tells Truth to go back to Kane, Jericho, and anyone in a blue shirt that Raw will let their actions speak.

We go to the Raw locker room and it is time for the DX pep talk. He says that the stakes have been upped and they cannot lose the match. Swagger wonders if they need the rah rah speech. Shawn says that it is not that simple. Swagger has all of the athletic ability, but it is respect that will carry this team. Hunter says that individually the team shouldn’t get along. Hunter brings up the Mae Young/Mark Henry/birth of a hand angle from years ago. Hunter reminds everyone that Big Show has had Vince McMahon’s head up. He reminds everyone about what they did to Cody Rhodes at Hell in a Cell. They have even proven that Kofi’s Jamaican heritage was a fraud. Shawn says that they let him on the team. Shawn says that Swagger can leave and they will replace him with the first person they see. Hornswoggle comes in and Shawn reconsiders. Hunter says that they cannot and will not lose tonight. This is about honor and pride. It is about not being losers when you confront Team Smackdown. Hunter asks if they are ready.

The bell rings and Punk goes after Rey and leaves the ring. Batista runs after Punk and Taker clotheslines Batista as they re-enter. Punk with forearms to Taker and kicks in the corner. Taker tosses Punk over the top rope to the floor and Rey with a seated senton onto Punk. Batista punches Taker and Taker with a leaping clothesline. Rey kicks Taker in the legs and then hits a springboard drop kick that sends Taker over the top rope to the floor. Taker returns to the ring and hits a big boot on Rey. Taker slams Batista’s head into the turnbuckles and then he works on Batista’s arm. Taker goes up for Old School and hits it. Taker tries to go Old School on Rey but Punk pulls Taker down. Punk throws Rey under the bottom rope to the floor. Punk tries for a superplex but he head butts Punk off the turnbuckles. Punk with a punch and he hits a superplex. Rey with a springboard splash but Punk pulls Rey up and throws Rey under the bottom rope again. Batista punches Punk and hits a clothesline. Batista with a clothesline into the corner followed by a power slam. Batista shakes the ropes and turns around into a big boot. Rey tries for a rana off the turnbuckles and Taker tries for Last Ride but Batista with a spear. Rey and Batista’s eyes meet and they do absolutely nothing until Taker sits up.

Josh asks Dave how he is feeling. Dave asks Rey if they thought they were close. Batista asks everyone if they thought him and Rey were close tonight. Batista says that he thinks he was close tonight. He says that he thinks he is tired of coming ‘this close’. Batista says that he is tired of his best friend stabbing him in the back. Rey tries to tell him that it isn’t like that. Batista tells Rey that he is not playing. Batista tells Rey that he is going to rip his head off. Batista with a clothesline to Rey and then he throws Rey out of the ring. Batista asks Rey if he is still playing. Batista kicks Rey on the floor and then he chokes Rey. Before the match starts, the referee holds up the Bragging Rights Trophy over his head.

Truth and Cody start things off as they reignite their feud that lasted almost an hour. Cody and Truth exchange punches. Truth with a split to avoid Rhodes and Truth with a leg lariat for a near fall. Rhodes with a punches and rollup into a series of punches. Truth with punches and a kick. Show tags in and then Truth tags in Kane. Show and Kane stand face to face and Kane punches Show. Show with an Irish whip but Show misses a charge into the corner. Kane with a clothesline into the corner but Show with a running shoulder tackle and a leg drop for a near fall. Swagger tags in and he punches Kane. Kane with an uppercut and clothesline to Swagger. Hardy tags in and he connects with a forearm to the back and he slams Swagger in the turnbuckle and hits a clothesline for a near fall.

Hardy tries for a Side Effect but Swagger with elbows and punches. Hardy with punches and Swagger’s shirt comes off. Hardy with boots to Swagger in the corner followed by a silent leg drop from the turnbuckles for a near fall. Swagger goes to the floor and he hits a clothesline. Rhodes distracts Hardy and Swagger attacks Hardy from behind. We have a standoff and the referee sends everyone back to their corners.

Swagger with a divorce court and a near fall. Mark Henry tags in and he punches Hardy. Henry with a series of arm wringers to Hardy followed by a head butt. Henry misses an elbow drop. Henry keeps Hardy from making the tag and then he Irish whips Hardy. Michaels tags in and he chops Hardy. Michaels slams Hardy into the turnbuckles and then he chops him. Hardy with a kick to Michaels and Hardy tries for the Side Effect and he hits it. Finlay is tagged in and he slams Michaels. Michaels with punches to Finlay and Michaels does the Michaels flip. Finlay kicks Michaels in the corner and punches him. Finlay and Michaels collide in the center of the ring and both men are down.

Michaels with sweet chin music to Finlay but Smith made the blind tag and then Hart and Smith hit a springboard Hart Attack. Smith with a slam and Jericho tags in. Jericho throws his shirt at Michaels and they puts Michaels in a reverse chin lock. Michaels punches Jericho and gets a rollup for a near fall. Jericho with a clothesline and a near fall. Jericho tags in and hits a bulldog but he misses the Lionsault. Kofi tags in and he hits a springboard clothesline and a drop kick followed by a leaping clothesline. Kofi with the Boom Boom Leg drop attempt but Jericho trips him and Jericho tries for the Walls of Jericho. Kofi with a rollup for a near fall. Jericho runs into Trouble in Paradise but Smith and Kidd break things up. Henry takes care of Smith and Kidd. Henry is taken down in the ring by Hardy and Truth and then on the floor as well after Henry catches Truth. Finlay with a fireman’s carry slam to Rhodes. Swagger with a Doctor Bomb to Finlay. Kane with a big boot to Swagger but Show with a spear to Kane. Show wants Kofi to go up top and Show with a choke slam to Kofi. Show with a knockout punch to Hunter and then Show leaves the ring. Jericho covers Kofi for the three count.

John Cena is in the back as he gets ready for 60 minutes of war with Randy Orton for the WWE Title.

Kofi Kingston is walking in the back and Cody Rhodes blames Kofi for the loss. Kofi says they lost because of Big Show. Cody says that Kofi was the weak link. Kofi pushes Cody but Cody sends Kofi into the wall.

Match Number Five: WWE Title Match: Randy Orton versus John Cena in an Iron Man Match (If John Cena loses, he is gone from Raw)

They lock up and Cena works on the arm and has a side head lock take down. Orton backs Cena into the corner. Orton with an elbow and punch in the corner. Orton with a side head lock (#1) on Cena. Cena with a hip toss but Orton with a hard Irish whip and Orton with a knee to the head. Orton favors his back before connecting with a European uppercut. Cena with an Irish whip but Orton avoids the bulldog. Orton with a forearm to Cena. Orton kicks Cena as he reenters the ring. Orton with punches to Cena and then he stands over Cena. Cena puts Orton in the STF and Orton taps immediately.

Orton with a power slam followed by a leaping knee drop as Orton enters Viper Mode. Orton chokes Cena in the ropes and then he kicks Cena and stomps on his chest. Orton with a suplex into the ring for a near fall. Orton goes for a side head lock (#2) after a few forearms across the chest. Cena falls to his feet due to the pressure that Orton has applied in the side head lock. Cena gets out of the hold and Cena with a kick and leap frog neck breaker. Cena goes up top for the Rocker Dropper and he hits it. Cena looks around and sees Orton down on the mat. Instead of making the cover, Cena tries for the five knuckle shuffle and Cena walks into an RKO for the three count.

We are ten minutes into the match and Orton knocks Cena off the apron into the ringside barrier. Orton sends Cena’s head into the ring steps. Orton with a front face lock and Orton sends Cena into the apron. Orton rearranges the announce table and he knocks Lawler’s crown off the table. Orton grabs the monitor and hits Cena in the head with it. Cena kicks out at two. Orton rolls Cena back into the ring and Orton gets the mic and he hits Cena in the head with it and then he can only get a two count. Orton says something to Cena and then he punches Cena and we have blood but the referee has the medical official at ringside check it out. The clock has stopped. Cena goes after Orton and he punches Orton. Cena sends Orton over the top rope to the floor. Cena sends Orton into the ring steps but Orton Irish whips Cena into the ring steps. Orton gets a two count on the floor. Orton stomps on Cena’s head which was placed on top of the ring steps. Cena kicks out one more time at two. Orton rolls Cena back into the ring. Orton punches Cena as he tries to work on the cut on Cena’s head.

We are now fifteen minutes into the match and Orton continues to punch Cena. Orton with RKO push ups and Cena avoids the RKO. Cena with the two shoulder tackles followed by the Blue Thunder Bomb and then it is time for the Five Knuckle Shuffle one more time. This time he hits it. Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment but Orton counters with an RKO and each man gets a fall.

During the break, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase attack John Cena. DiBiase hits Dream Street and Rhodes and DiBiase roll Orton on top of Cena and the referee makes the three count.

Orton 3: Cena 3

Kofi Kingston comes out during the break and he has a chair and he chases Rhodes and DiBiase to the back.

Orton goes to the apron and Orton is holding his throat. Cena with a double leg take down and Cena punches Orton and Orton goes to the floor to avoid Cena. They fight to the ramp and Cena sends Orton into the barrier. Cena punches Orton and Orton goes down. Orton sends Cena’s head into the barrier. Orton with a kick to the head as they are by the stage. Orton gets a near fall. Orton with a front face lock and then he sends Cena’s head into a case for the equipment. Cena’s head is slammed into the pyro machine and it goes off. Orton sends Cena through the set and there are more explosions. Orton gets a three count.

Orton 4: Cena 3

Orton goes back to the pyro machine and he sets some more off. Orton gets a chair as the battle moves to the stage. Orton hits Cena in the back of the head and he puts Cena on the pyro. They try to stop Orton and the pyro guy has his hand on the switch and the pyro doesn’t work. Orton sets off all of the pyro on the stage. Orton is not a happy camper but he punches Cena in the head. Orton mounts Cena and punches him on the ramp. Orton with more punches to the head. Orton Irish whips Cena into the ring steps one more time.

We are now in the second half of the match as we hit the thirty minute mark. Orton throws the ring steps and they hit Cena in the head but Cena kicks out. Orton kicks Cena in the ribs and then he stomps on Cena’s chest. Orton grabs another chair and he hits Cena’s back as well as the ring post. Cena kicks out of the cover on the floor. They return to the ring. Cena is down on the mat and Orton slowly picks him up but Cena with an inside cradle for a three count.

Orton 4: Cena 4

Orton punches Cena during the break.

Orton has a thought going through his head and he stares at Cena and sets for an IEDDT onto the floor and he hits it. Orton gets the three count.

Orton 5: Cena 4

Orton tries for another cover since Cena is barely moving but Cena finds the power to kick out. Orton kicks Cena and does the Garvin Stomp. Orton with forearms across the chest followed by a leaping knee drop for a near fall. Orton with a punch to Cena and Cena goes down one more time. Orton with another near fall. Cena makes his way back to his feet and Orton with another punch and Cena goes down and gets another near fall. Orton falls victim to a Cena punch and Orton leaves the ring and goes up the ramp.

We are two-thirds through the match.

Cena meets Orton on the ramp and Orton with punches and kicks. Orton looks at the TitanTron and the scaffolding on the set. Cena with a punch to Orotn and Orton returns to the ring. Cena summons the strength to return to the ring. Orton punches Cena as Cena returns to the ring. Orton punches Cena as he tries to work on the earlier cut that Cena suffered. Orton stares into Cena’s eyes and Cena goes to the apron. Orton sets for another IEDDT in the ring but Cena gets through the ropes and has Orton up for Attitude Adjustment. Orton leaves the ring and goes into the crowd. Cena goes after Orton. Orton is going for some concessions or maybe a bathroom break as they fight to the top of the lower concourse. Orton goes down after being hit by a trash can. Cena sends Orton into the wall and then he kicks Orton. Orton goes down the steps and Cena follows after him.

We are into the final quarter of the match.

Cena sends Orton back into the ringside area and he gets a near fall. Cena slams Orton’s head into the ring steps but Orton kicks out. Cena sends Orton into the ringside barrier and Orton holds his arm. Cena sends Orton into the ringside barrier one more time to work on the shoulder. Cena sends Orton through the wall for the ring bell pit and Orton is down.

Cena hits Orton in the head with the ring steps and Cena holds the steps over his head like he won the Bragging Rights Cup. Cena says that he is going to finish him and he puts the second set of steps on top of the one already set by the announce table. Cena picks up Orton and gets him on his shoulders as he moves to the announce table. Cena climbs the steps and he hits the Attitude Adjustment through the table. Cena gets the three count to tie the match.

Orton 5: Cena 5

The break is over and Cena gets another cover but Orton kicks out. Cena gets a table and he brings it into the ring. Cena carries Orton back into the ring. Cena puts Orton onto a table and Cena goes up top. Cena misses the leg drop when Orton moves off the table.

We are into the final five minutes and they exchange punches and the crowd boos and yays for each one. Orton takes control but then Cena does as we are in the final three minutes. Cena with a flying shoulder tackle but the second one takes out the referee. Orton hits an RKO but the referee is out cold. Orton wants another referee to come out but Cena can kick out when the second referee makes his way to the ring. Orton is furious at the referee and he knocks out the referee.

We are down to the final minute and Orton lines up for the field goal but Cena moves. Cena puts Orton in the STF and we are at 55 seconds. We are down to twenty seconds and Orton tries to fight out. Cena taps with five seconds left.

And with that, we're off and running for the first episode of the fourth season of Venture Bros., "Blood of the Father, Heart of Steel." Welcome to the new digs! Tonight, you won't have to wade through my ill-advised and poorly structured comments on the entire Adult Swim line-up. Tonight, and for the rest of the show's run, it's Venture Bros and Venture Bros only. This means many things, but mostly, it means I get to write less, and go to bed at a semi-reasonable hour.

Anyway, the show. Awesome, right? Ever since season two, Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer have become increasingly comfortable with trusting their audience, both in terms of the amount of story they cram into each twenty minute episode, and the way that story is delivered. I'm hard pressed to think of an ep before tonight's that was quite as unstuck-in-time, though; we've had flashbacks, and we've had cross-referencing storylines, but "Blood" at first seems like a bunch of scenes shuffled together with little respect for cause or continuity. That's not true, of course. As it turns out, there's a very specific structure here, hinted at by the occasional CGC Ratings that pop up in the top right of the screen (and weren't really understandable until 21's conversation with Doc Venture near the end). It's the sort of thing that has me already excited to go back and re-watch the whole thing from the start. There wasn't much of the bitter sincerity here, but what "Blood" really gets at, and beautifully well, is the tremendous sense of fun the show generates when it's running on all cylinders. It's like an open toolbox full of the coolest toys anyone has ever seen, arranged for our bemusement.

The plot, as much as I was able to unpack from just one viewing: Brock makes good on quitting his job as bodyguard at the Venture compound, leaving the boys in the hands of a socially adjusted Sgt. Hatred (who, if you ask me, isn't that adjusted). Brock gets H.E.L.P. eR.'s head stuck in his chest by Speculative Human Engineering (S.H.E.D.), a branch of O.S.I., but is so fed up with the group that he ditches them, gets the Heart of Steel removed, and spends some time recuperating with Steve and Steve's sasquatch lover.

Meanwhile, 21 comes to Dr. Venture, wanting him to clone 24. For this, he offers a mint condition Marvel Comics #1 (hence the CGC rating, which appears to be rising over the episode, but is actually dropping; we're just seeing time moving backward from the point where Hank first removed the issue from its mylar sleeve, riiiight up until it's final fate as Sgt. Hatred's toilet paper), but Doc Venture isn't convinced, and 21 storms off. He'll later try and get Dr. Orpheus to resurrect 21, with similarly disappointing results. Other people looking for clones? Nazis, who want to create a clone of Hitler out of a bulldog that currently has Hitler's blood. Dr. Venture refuses, Dean falls in love with the dog, and eventually, the Nazi's charge the compound.

Brock has put on weight during all of this, and decides to get revenge on those who wrong him. First stop is Molotov Cocktease's new office building, where he runs in to Hunter, his old boss, and, after getting shot by Molotov, eventually finds his to Hunter's secret lair, where Hunter's working with S.P.H.I.N.X., the sex change being a ruse. Brock signs on, for reasons I'm sure we'll understand later in the season.

Whew. Normally, I'm not planning on going too much into plot with these write-ups, but there's just so much going on here that I had to write it out, if only to get things clear in my own head. The fourth season is being broken up into two chunks of 8 episodes each, with the second chunk airing next spring; if tonight is any indication, it's obvious why Publick and the others felt they needed to give themselves some breathing room to get everything in. I'm not sure they can maintain this furious pace through-out, but I'm giddy to see what they will do. Welcome back, boys! You've been very much missed.

Stray Observations:

The occasional title screens we got ("The Human Torch," "The Angel," etc.) were all nods to Marvel Comics #1. There's nothing like watching random references get thrown out, and being able to just trust it will all make sense in the end, is there?
I harped on his some last season, but I do still wish they had the budget for more secondary voice actors. It was occasionally distracting tonight.
Doc Venture: "Ahhh! You're getting face on me!"
Hank: "Is it me, or does every Nazi want to clone Hitlers?"
Sgt. Hatred: "I am full on Charles in Charge of you!"
And, of course, Brock: ""I can cross 'Stab Hitler to death' off my list of cool crap I thought I'd never get to do." (I also liked, "Hey, Hank! Killed Hitler.")

Oh hey. Venture Bros is back on the air and I am back with some direction updates! Here's a bunch of stuff from the season 4 premiere(which was actually the 7th episode to be produced for this season, go figure):

LIGHTNING EFFECTS!!!! After last season's craziness with lasers and explosions all over the place, the overseas studio laid down the law and said "Only fire and smoke!" All other effects we do had to be pre-designed by our team, no adlibs on their part. I'm gonna guess and say the final lightning effects were designed by Liz Artinian

A heartwarming father-son exchange. This episode (hopefully you've gotten to see it by now) has a really well done unconventional shifting narrative. Hank's hair length is the key to figuring out the order of the scenes. Peedee (the production manager) had a hell of a time figuring out which hair goes where but I think it all makes sense. Right?

As we covered earlier, the new ad is out for the Verizon Droid, but the ad lacks one feature: actual Verizon Droid pictures.
The Verizon Droid started its naming cycle as the Motorola Sholes/Tao, and some pictures do exist of the phone, be it possibly in testing versions. The pictures show the obvious things like the slideout keyboard, but they also show an iPhone sized phone with a screen to match.
The first Verizon Droid picture above shows Droid possibly running Android 1.6 vs the Android 2.0 it will ship with. The pictures below (one via BGR) clearly show Android 2.0 running on the phone. The last picture we’re not sure: the buttons at the base don’t match the other shots, meaning that it could be a prototype or artist rendering. However, the keyboard layout seems correct.

Verizon recently aired a Droid Does commercial during the Yankees-Angels game on Saturday. This commercial does a good job of making the iPhone look bad. I really liked this commercial, and I hope that the Droid Does commercial pushes Apple to improve their iPhone and make it more open! Obviously Verizon hasn’t heard of jailbroken iPhones, because if they did then they would know that we can already get most of the features by jailbreaking. You can watch the Droid Does commercial here.

I am kind of disappointed about this commercial because it means that the iPhone will not be coming to Verizon any time soon. I do look forward to seeing what Verizon comes out with. Anyone else excited about the Verizon Droid? It really does have the potential to be an iPhone killer, especially since it’s being launched on one of America’s most reliable network.

Droid Does, But Will It?

Verizon is pulling put all stops with its new Android commercial, which highights what the iPhone doesn't do, in an ad that tells you exactly what the iPhone doesn't do, like "iDon't allow open development, i'Dont run simultaneous apps." And at the end of the ad: "Everything iDon't, Droid Does."

Besides the fact that Verizon is bashing the iPhone big-time, it seems like this would put to rest, at least for now, any rumors that Verizon will be picking up the iPhone anytime soon. Why bash something you are considering selling? As I said previously, I don't think Verizon will pick up the iPhone until LTE becomes a reality.

Unfortunately, while Android, and specifically the phone Droid, AKA Sholes or Tao can do a lot that the iPhone can't, the main thing for many users is a couple of things the company doesn't mention.

iDo have 85,000+ apps
iDo have the iPhone OS

It's not just about topping the iPhone; it's about topping the iPhone OS. And there's no way around the fact that you see apps being developed for the iPhone that don't appear anywhere else, and that's a big difference.

Meanwhile, Verizon really should have picked on these iDon'ts:

iDon't have tethering, despite promises (and Verizon should make sure Droid does have tethering)
iDon't make phone calls well (when the average of dropped calls in NYC is 30%, that's pretty bad)
iDon't let apps in the App Store, for nonsensical reasons
iDon't have HSPA 7.2 in many places (if at all, sorry 3GS owners)

It's doubtful Droid will be an iPhone killer. But will it make an impact? Many who have seen the phone like it, so we'll see what it does, in November, according to the ad.

This now raises questions with people in the baseball world, about the Dodgers future and what potential effect their rift will have on their ownership of the franchise. After all, Frank McCourt is the owner and his wife Jamie McCourt is the team’s chief executive.
In a statement that was released by the club late Wednesday, it said that it is a personal matter and Jamie and Frank have requested that their privacy be respected. It also went on to say that neither of them will be making any public statements on the matter.

Sue and Will are at each other’s throats. The trouble began when Principal Figgins made Sue the co-director of Glee after Will’s wife got the kids hopped up on nasal decongestant.
Cut-throat Sue seems as if she’d be the victor in this battle, and she almost is, until Will throws down a few underhanded moves of his own. After Sue manipulates the minority kids into siding with her, Will flunks all the Cheerios from Spanish class. The battle escalates until they’re left screaming at each other at a Glee rehearsal. The kids step in, walking out of rehearsal in disgust.
After, Sue decides to step down from Glee club and she seems almost human. That, until her nastiest act of all. When she inadvertently finds out that Quinn is pregnant, she feeds her to the school nerd, who runs a gossip blog. (His attempts to bribe Rachel are hilarious). Sue is truly evil.
Quinn and Rachel have a big showdown after Finn asks Quinn why she can’t be more like Rachel (Finn thinks Drizzle is the perfect baby name, Quinn calls him a moron).
Rachel knows Quinn is feeding info to Sue. But, it isn’t until Sue throws Quinn under the bus that she sees that Rachel is right about Sue’s snakey nature. Quinn realizes that her Glee pals are the ones who will see her through. The episode ends with the kids singing “Keep Holding On”.
Lots of music in this week’s episode. Mercedes belts out a fabulous “Hate On Me” with the other “minorities” backing her up. After Sue splits the group up, the kids get together anyway to do a fun jam of Nelly’s “Ride Wit Me”. Finn and Rachel sing a duet of “No Air” filled with so much bittersweet ache and longing, you could cut it with a knife.

Will takes Finn and Quinn to the OBGYN. Quinn finds out she’s having a little girl. Now that Quinn’s pregnancy is no longer a secret, I wonder how long it will take for the truth–that Puck is actually the father–to come out.
Meanwhile, Terri and her sister Kendra continue to plot and scheme. Will wants to be at Terri’s next OB appointment, so they pay a visit to the sister’s baby doctor, whom Kendra successfully blackmails into faking a sonogram. Will cries when he finds out their having a girl (well, not really) and Terri remains clueless (”I didn’t know having a boy meant so much to you.”)
The pregnancy plot is on my last nerve, but Jennifer Aspen, who plays Kendra is awesome. I say keep Kendra (somehow) and ditch Terri…
And where was Emma? Tonight’s episode was 100% Emma Pillsbury free, which is NOT a good thing…

Bruce Wasserstein displayed his deal-making expertise when he swooped in at the last minute to beat out a consortium of bidders for New York that included Harvey Weinstein and Mort Zuckerman. But from that moment on, his love of journalism guided his ownership of the magazine, relying as he did on the instincts he developed as a college reporter at the University of Michigan. Unlike the private investors who often buy publications like New York, Bruce had no interest in using the magazine to advance a personal agenda. On the contrary, he had a journalist’s curiosity and took pleasure in the provocative. At monthly meetings with the magazine brain trust, he wanted to talk as much about the latest news, or politics, or shifting currents of all kinds as he did about New York itself. His ownership style was hands-off but very engaged, and he was more likely to ask questions than give directions. He had enormous respect for the institution that he was now part of, and a strong belief in the future of both print and web journalism. That belief was reflected in the deep support he showed for New York Media, both as an investor and as a proud owner. He made it possible for the website to grow into a fully complementary partner to the print magazine, yet he always loved holding the physical pages in his hands — so much so that he would complain on the off-weeks of a double issue. When he bought the magazine in 2004, some wondered what he wanted with New York. It turned out that he just wanted the best possible future for it, and he had a self-interested desire to be the man who made that happen. In that sense, New York could not have had a more perfect owner than Bruce. In every possible way, he will be missed.

NFL Cincinnati Bengals coach Mike Zimmer’s Wife Vikki Zimmer, 50-year-old was died at their home on October 8, 2009. Three days later Zimmer was awarded the game ball by head coach Marvin Lewis after the team's 17-14 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
Vikki death is not suspected however officials have not ruled out the possibility until the autopsy is completed. Mike and viki have two sons and a daughter. One of the son is a former NFL player Bill Zimmer.

Started getting a bunch of emails about comedian Nick Swardson and his classy Comedy Central DVD, Seriously, Who Farted?
I'm not sure why people feel the need to email me about this type of stuff. One emailer asked me to "bring Nick Swardson to Houston." That's kind of cute of her to think this site had that kind of pull, but if you want a famous person to come to Houston you might want to hit up someone else for help. If you want a schedule of events going on at Miller Outdoor Theater though, that I can help with it.
At any rate, also among the Nick Swardson emails were reminders that the Houston Zoo will be allowing free entry October 12th. (It's part of their annual five days free thing that they do.) Hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fair warning: get there early because the traffic will be nuts. Good luck.

I was wondering in times of recession, as municipalities have less and less money to spend on programs and services as do their citizens, why it is that the public libraries whose hours are usually one of the first things to shrink as a money-saving idea, tend to become more popular as those with limited incomes seek entertainment and information.

It was sort of like shooting fish in a barrel to find sources to support the level and breadth at which this has been happening across the USA, just by clicking here. At the time I entered the phrase in a search engine (sorry, Bing, you're not my choice), there were 1.4 million mentions identified in less a quarter of a second.

I got to thinking, not about cell phone bandwidth (yesterday I learned a new thing, though I would've preferred, Rabbi, that you take a crack at my Thermos question), but about how long it would have taken me to have gone to the public library to have found, basically, the same references as the computer did in an eye blink.

And that in turn led me to wonder why people go to the public library, no matter the season or the economic climate. Those motivations and needs are, I imagine, as diverse as the folks who patronize the public libraries. In Norwich, many offer as a truism that 'those people' (and we know who that is and whom we mean, trust me on this one) congregate outside of the Otis Library in downtown, just down the block from the Saint Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen and not all that far away from some of the underpasses where those whose boats were NOT lifted by the last decade's rising tide of prosperity have come to anchor.

If I had a dime for every time I've read a reference to 'those people' in a local newspaper or heard someone speak of them, I'd have enough money to buy the Norwich YMCA (not as funny a joke as I'd first hoped especially if we, the taxpayers, become the punchline). Whenever I go downtown, and I walked through it on Monday to visit City Hall (speaking of taxes, as I was, to go to the Assessor's office) and then across town to the Post Office, I NEVER see any of 'those people' outside (or inside) the library or anywhere else.

Norwich doesn't have an especially vibrant downtown though there's a lot of individual efforts by small businesses and property owners. I love walking past the old Woolworth's (I suspect that's what it was back in the day) not because I'm happy for the day-laborer business that's taken up shop inside (though for many people in search of a job, it's a different reaction) but because I can remember being a kid, when dinosaurs roamed the earth, and how much fun stores like Woolworth's and J. J. Newberry were and how they were so much a part of everyday growing up life in a town about the size of Norwich--New Brunswick, New Jersey.

It was as true in Brunswick then as it is in Norwich now, that people look to a public library in an urban landscape the way the fingers of the hand look to the thumb. There are so many services and so many products available, everyone meets in the same space and place. Public libraries, by accident or design, may be the most distinctly iconic symbol of American democracy, up there with Old Glory and the Bald Eagle (which is NOT my nickname, yet).

This morning, and you have something similar going on in your neighborhood I'll bet, we have in the Otis Library, starting at 10:30, some, part or all of the Democratic slate seeking election to the office of Mayor and the City Council (and maybe, but I'm not sure, the Board of Education members as well), hosting a forum in the upstairs community room of the library. It's another chance to learn more about the candidates and their positions and goals (and how they intend to achieve them). I'm told they'll be taking questions.

"Now Main Street's whitewashed windows and vacant stores, seems like there ain't nobody wants to come down here no more. They're closing down the textile mill across the railroad tracks. Foreman says these jobs are going, boys, and they ain't coming back to your hometown." Start with that one and ask them what they intend to do about it. And no rush, the Otis Library is open 'til three on Saturdays.

Obama's Nobel Peace Prize

It seems a shame to call President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize a joke, but how seriously can you take a prize that has yet to be earned?
More than anything else, the timing of this award suggests it's actually the Thank God You're Not George W. Bush Nobel Prize, Given So That You Won't Send More Troops to Afghanistan. We understand the impulse, not having been impressed by Bush's leadership. But where has peace broken out since, and because of, Obama's election? Or is it because he dropped plans for a missile defense system in eastern Europe, or simply because he hasn't invaded any countries since his inauguration just nine months ago?
Less cynically, Obama may have won the prize because he inspires hope in so many people in so many places. That's a real gift, and something that may pay many dividends for Americans and others. But hope for peace is different from peace. If Obama won in part because of his undeniable oratorical gifts, his speechwriters should share in the honor.

This is not the first time the Nobel Peace Prize caused a good deal of head-scratching. Today, the political right is howling about Obama's prize, but the left was apoplectic in 1973 when, during the Vietnam War, then-Secretary of State Henry Kissinger won the Peace Prize, along with North Vietnamese Politburo Member Le Duc Tho, for arranging a cease fire that didn't last. Kissinger was seen by many as one of the architects of an immoral war.
Obama, himself, seemed to recognize the preposterousness of the award. Speaking to reporters outside the White House on Friday, he said he wasn't sure he had done enough to earn the award, or even deserved to be in the company of the others who had won it before him, including just two other sitting American presidents, Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson. Instead, Obama wisely spun it forward, saying he would accept it "as a call to action, a call for all nations to confront the challenges of the 21st century."
In that statement, Obama showed again that he is a supremely intelligent and capable president, one who possesses the talents and inclinations that might someday lead him to truly deserve this award. But he doesn't yet. Not this year. In awarding it to Obama, the Nobel Committee has once again shown that this prize is more about politics than it is about peace.

The Boys from Brazil is an absorbing story. This is a rather complicated, yet absorbing story – you have to read almost halfway to get the essence of the mystery.
Yakov Liebermann’s mission in life was to hunt for Nazis, especially those who had participated in the cruel slayings of Jews during the world war. Dr Joseph Mengele (Angel of Death) had a major project.
Most of the details of the project were not revealed to his team, who were only told that they were working for the fatherland, in hopes to rebuild the Nazi greatness. Initially the plan was to kill a total of 94 men - unremarkable men in their 60s, unimportant careers, mundane lives.
This plan was secretly taped by an amateur Nazi hunter; he managed to pass the news to Lieberman.

Lieberman was zealous in his investigations - questioning, probing, analyzing. He soon found out about the sons of the dead men - teenage boys who looked so similar that they might have been the offspring of the same man.

The story is simply amazing. A total of 94 clones were made in hopes of building a small group of Hitlers. Mengele was astute enough to look into the probabilities of success and failure.
This story was written at a time when cloning seemed a figment of the active mind. Ira Levin’s stories are really thought-provoking. It takes some time (and patience) to follow through though. However once you pass the preliminaries, it is simply spell-binding.
The suspense started building, and from there, it is difficult to put the book down. A truly eerie story; it is beyond rational thinking how far the Nazis would go to realize their dream about the perfect race.

The Scenester: Couples Weekend

Couples Retreat — C-

First we have our dysfunctional couples … : Couples Retreat didn’t screen in time for publication, but I did you a favor and saw it anyway. Here’s what I said:
Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau go way back, first starring together in 1996’s Swingers, as young bucks ready to take Los Angeles by storm. Thirteen years later, the two have reached middle age, now at the top of their Hollywood game. But where Swingers thrived on freshness and energy, Couples Retreat is complacent. Jason Bateman and Faizon Love join Vaughn and Favreau as the XY contingent of a group of couples persuaded to go to Eden, a therapy retreat, by Bateman and onscreen wife Cynthia (Kristen Bell) — two uptight PowerPoint lovers who convince their buddies that they won’t have to take part in planned healing activities. Except when they arrive, as it turns out, it’s all mandatory. They’re faced with a choice: Stay in paradise and listen to some touchy-feely quack, or bail and head back to kids and responsibility? The couples stick to Eden and spend the next couple of hours doing everything you’d expect them to. I don’t know what’s more disconcerting: the fact that four genuinely funny men willngly play into their own typecasting (Vaughn as the fast-talking wiseguy, Bateman as a less-hilarious Michael Bluth), or that Vaughn and Bateman’s onscreen wives look a fraction of their age and they think no one will notice.

Paranormal Activity — B

Then we have our haunted couples: You may remember how we demanded Paranormal Activity in Philly … and then we got it! We sent Drew Lazor to a midnight screening and this is what he came back with:
It took first-time director Oren Peli just seven days to shoot Paranormal Activity in his own house, with a hand-held camera, two unknown actors and a measly $15,000 budget. Plenty of people are saying what he came up with is one of the most terrifying horror films of all time. That’s an unfortunate overstatement in that it’s created unrealistic expectations for this little movie that could, but it’s unabashedly scary — and it’s worth seeing for multiple reasons, some of which aren’t hair-raising at all. Micah Sloat and Katie Featherston, playing a couple named Micah and Katie, are embarking on an experiment: She’s been deeply disturbed by a insidious presence her whole life, so her cocky day trader boyfriend leaves a high-end video cam rolling while they sleep to sate his curiosity. “Things” start happening — and it’s not long before the incidents begin increasing in volatility with each passing night. That’s all you need to know to embrace that aspect of the movie, but Paranormal’s biggest gifts come in the form of Sloat and Featherston’s performances — both do a superb job of fleshing out the throes of a couple in duress, scrambling from argument to make-up and back again with such gentle chemistry that you might mistake them for your actual friends.

“Paranormal Activity”: The Strange Story Of Micah Sloat And Katie Featherstone

“Paranormal Activity”, a mocu-horror flick which bears a striking resemblance with the concept and the genre of the famous spine tingling horror flick “Blair Witch Project” has raised quite a buzz in the movie world for its clever construction and brilliant camera work. According to the sources, the film has gathered quite a considerable amount of attention from the horror movie buffs and has been a regular fixture at Tweeter’s trendy topics despite being played at a mere 33 theaters since its release on last Friday. The movie revolves around two central characters, MIcah Sloat and Katie Featherstone. Sources revealed that this week the movie will expand itself to 46 markets where it will be screened through out the day and night in as many as 176 theaters.

The movie opens up with an intriguing title, thereby thanking the fictional family of Micah Sloat and Katie Featherstone as well as the San Diego Police Department, giving the audience a clear indication that the “found footage” is bound to have paranormal activities stored in it. The plot of the story revolves around Micah and his girlfriend Katie who have been staying together for almost three years. The male protagonist gets hold of a video camera to shoot the paranormal activities that have been happening in his two storey building in San Diego. Weird activities have since been occupied Katie whose actual house was burned down when she was eight years old. Since then she has been haunted by a shadowy figure as nightmares plague her normal life. The movie picks up from this point.

The eerie movie which has been shot in the couple’s cookie-cutter dwelling is terrifying due to its unusual way of filming and plot. “Paranormal Activity” has the potential of becoming one of the best horror movies in this genre. The film has already gained a mass appeal.
